Oooh, fellow UE4 game!

Score: 705

Took me a bit to get used to the controls.

What I didn't like:

  • Slow ass reload speed
  • AI basically only has two "commands": Run into you, or avoid an obstacle
  • The music was a bit repetitive
  • Trying to control more than one soldier, while keeping in mind reload time is hard, wish there were visual indicator of reload for each solider above/below them
  • Only one hit deaths

What I liked:

  • The art style was cute
  • Such a simple concept that was polished

Overall, while a lot of "cons", I listed, those can easily be remedied. I think you did a nice job, the concept fit the theme well, even if it's harder to be "stronger together", rather than Rambo.

Hello Victor Burgos

Thank you for playing my game. I understand your critic of my game, and I already knew your problem with the game would be the issue for most players. But let me try to explain the idea:

  • This is not meant to be a Rambo action game, but it's an army game. And yes, you can play it like an Rambo game, but then it gets super slow and mostly a game about avoiding obstacles and enemies. The slow reload and the "one hit"-death is there to push you to use more then one soldier. For me the slow reload also makes the game more intends, because you not always know if it's best to attack or avoid the enemies. And the slow reload do also means if you fail to hit an enemy, it will have a much higher consequence, then if you just was able to rapid fire .
  • I knew that the controls over a group of soldiers would be the games biggest issue. And yes, it takes time to learn to control them and the slow reload time do not make it easier. But when you first understand and really learn how to control them it actually gets really fun. But today where players is mostly use to pretty easy and fast past games, it's a bit difficult to make you play and understand the game.
  • Yes, the AI are very simplistic. But with the slow reloading and the way you have to control the army I actually think it's working very well. But I understand if you don't like it. There is by the way also a Boss in the game that uses a different AI, but it's by it self not much more cleaver.
  • I totally understand if you are not a fan of the music, I am not sure I am a fan of it my self. But there are at least some nostalgia for this kind of repetitive music, from games that looked and played a bit like this game back when I was a child.

But okay, I actually think the biggest issue with the game is that it takes longer to learn to play then most players use on playing it. In general it's an issue with a lot my games, but I like them the way they are.

And again thank you for playing the game.
