Really cool game!!
Some notes I had: (I do know that it's a jam, but there are some stuff that I'd like to point out for your future games!)
- The goat attack which also is a dash is super nice. I like duality in game design and that was cool.
- The chicken projectile is a bit too slow for it's damage. Generally speakin having a slow moving projectile is harder to hit, so most of the time it packs a hit. You can either increase the speed, or the damage.
- I think you should have spread the other animals in the map so the player won't get them all in the same time. I do understand that pacing and the fact that you don't want player to miss those things in a jam is a tricky thing to do, but I presonally enjoy finding new power ups.
- The carrots being your hp which you can collect is nice. I did found the carrots spreading a bit too far when killing enemies. When the player gets hit it's fitting - like in sonic. But you don't want the focus of the game to be on collecting the carrots from dead enemies, so adjust it a bit towards the player.
- The boss was nice, I did find him a bit easy (tho, this is the right difficulty for a jam). Also, he had a bit too much HP. If you want your boss hard, make him harder, no beefier.
- I loved the fact that I am a goat in a coat. Thank you.
*I did find a black rectangle at the top of the map which I couldn'y understand it's purpose*
