Ooops, I meant a Pro lol
I think that's a great part about a game - understanding it. Like those first couple of games playing a new board game with yout friends.
Like others said before me, it took me a minute to understand the concept and how I should interact with the game - but I see it as a con, especially in a jam revolved around reveresed roles.
I feel like the level up could be a bit faster, but tweeking and game feel is super hard to get right in a 48 hours game jam.
Overall, polished, plays nice, no bug, interesting concept. Very well done!~
REALLY sataisying to play!
At the start I thought the goal is to create as much choas so you can clean more, which was fun too.
But after I learned what I actually need to do, it was just as fun.
While playing I was yearning for a dash to reposition quickly, but I'm not sure if it's good or not, since the blood and the order you clean stuff can make you faster.
Very well done! the first perfect rating from me. I just wish there were more levels / layouts / hazards.
Can easily be a mobile game
I got pretty far into the game but my wrist started hurting so I had to stop playing.
Cool concept, I enjoyed it a lot more than all of the idle games I've played.
I did encounter a bug where the timer in the challenges was super fast. I could barely finish the fist challenge. When I later came back to the challenges to try again it was fixed.
Really love the art!
The idea was super creative, I almost voted before playing just because it was an amazing idea.
I do think the game needs a bit of dialogue instead of the notes. Maybe something similar to undertale? Where you can learn what they don't like and then have a minigame of the DDR to charge up the reject meter.
Very well done!~
Very well done! Some stages are quite tough and lenghty in steps, and if I had a rewind 1 step button or something similar it would really help me.
At the end of the day, a puzzler needs to be challenging so that's a pro, but I personally have a more hands on approach to puzzles so I had to reset a LOT.
Lol, love this!
Awesome art style and animation too!
I really wish there would be a dialogue of NPCs talking to each other about how absurd the speedrunner is.
Also, maybe the speedrunner needs the block to clip through the terrain, and you move out of the way. Just silly stuff to make it feel more than a cutscene.
But even if it felt a bit like a cutscene I loved it. Well done ~!
I really enjoyed it!
The game itself ia quite easy, the minigame of building the perfect junkship is fun in itself.
Maybe if you ramp up the difficulty curve a bit faster it'd be more engaging. (At some point I didn't move for a good minute but nothing was able to kill me)
I also suggest you zoom out if you want to add more enemied or difficulty to have more room to dodge.
Well done~!
Cool original concept, I can see it implemented to other game genres too.
Like people have said - the camera shake was rough. Should be an easy fix tho.
Also, my first time playing it I had no idea what to do until I stopped to read the instructions.
An image tutorial would be sufficient to understand the mechanics.
Other than than, I had fun! Well done!~
Ok, so I played this game a lot but I don't think it was becasue of the reasons you wanted me to..I played it as it was dark souls and I wanted to beat it.
It was super hard. took me over 20 tries to get over the first stage, and I got wiped in the second 1 immediatly. Maybe I suck, but I think there are ways to make the combat more fair.
A. The animation for the enemy's attack should have some visual cue that it's coming. It's immediate and as frequent as the player's attack. This make it super tough.
B. The animation for blocking should be quicker, maybe instant. This, with the previous comment combined made it hard to block something if you didn't already had your shield up.
C. Sometimes when I was blocking, it didn't. That was frustrating you can imagine. (I think it was due to calculation and the enemy was technically attacking to my left, but he was below me and I had my shield to the south.)
D. Fighting 2 enemies at once was the tough part. Since you can't move while blocking/attacking you can't reposition for the other enemy, or dodge the attack after you attack. I think adding movement while attacking/blocking will make it more fun and fair. You can also add some more depth with parry, or roll etc but that's for later stages.
Other than that, I love hard games with rogue-like-like progression system. And the fact I played it for as long as I did means I had fun trying and wanting to progress.
Well done!
Tough game, but that's the whole genre I guess of this type of games.. I've played some of the genre and I like that there is 2 main mechanics instead of 1 which kind of defines the popular games in the genre.
The game was fun, quite buggy too, but that was part of the charm. (I yeeted myself in a circle for a good minute)
The music is really fitting is making me both want to rage quit, and keep going at the same time.
Well done!~
One of my favorites in the jam. Such a cool main mechanic, and the other mechanics are also working together in a well thought manner. Really fun to play.
That being said I have a few issues :
When you jump, you can't switch directions mid air and it feels stiff.
The jump itself is always the same height, which can easily be changed and add a lot of depth.
BUT, I say this only because you showed a lot of care and talent into this game, and I had a lot of fun with it - I just think you can tweek some things easily and it would feel much better to play.
Really well done!~
Making a good, polished, bullet hell game which also looked really good with clean UI and VFX in only 48 hours is hella impressive.
The mechanic itself is fun and fitting for a chaotic bullet hell game, and you picked a fitting SFX for everything.
I'm gonna be honest - I skipped the text tutorial since I'm lazy, but the game itself is intuitive and I didn't feel behind.
Well done!~
I really loved this game! Although I was stuck at 6 sliders after I met the ocean guy - I wanted to continue and spent about 10 minutes trying to figure it out. (I guess I also skipped the guy with the scan..)
My only complaint is that I got no sound, and you might want to consider starting near the top right corner, since I was sliding through all of the squares, confused, until I reached the 2nd slider.
Nontheless, this was a very fun, well put game!
Very well done!
Edit: I just realized my headphones were bugged so it wasn't a bug in your hand.
This is a fun game, tho if you take out the other magnet and just had you reverse gravity the game would play the same. That being said, I couldn't get past the spikey upgrades level, so you might do something with the upper magnet too afterwards.
Tough game too, but it's good in my eyes.
I think the acceleration is a bit slow for the movement, but other than that plays smoothly.
Well done!
