Visuals are quite nice, but I'd choose a different color for the background. Movement's okay, but I think this game would be controlled better with a mouse. And a better tutorial would avoid confusion among the players

Yeah maybe mouse controls would be better but I feel like WASD is a bit more intuitive (probably because I play lots of FPS game). I was going for a laser / retro look so I chose black, what color would you suggest the background be instead?

And I completely agree, a tutorial would be nice where popups explained the controls and mechanics, I'll try to add that next time.

As I think about it, I would probably make some background "animation" or something and not a static color... Similar to the background of this game Thomas Brush made (The video is set to exact time, so it should start at the time where he plays the game)

When I have time I'll watch the full video, but yeah the animated background looks great! Thanks for the suggestion, I'll mess around with it next time. Did he use 3d to make the animation?
