Not sure how it fits with the theme. It looks nice though and the story has potential. Sadly, I think I accidentally skipped some lines. Also, when that monster appears it isn't clear what to do as you are locked in and walking into it gives the same few "uninviting" lines for a while. Maybe have it walk faster than the player so even if the player doesn't get what needs to happen to move forward it will still happen?

Yeah I getchu! Thanks for the feedback. A lot of what I could was EXTREMELY limited because of the engine being a modded hack of an old engine that's pretty limited as is. So I couldn't do audio or much of anything, even the monster appearing and attack is all based in hidden room switches to make it feel like it's doing something substantial. I'm looking into using Godot next as an engine to expand this into something fuller. I'll gladly take the suggestions into the future with me!
As for the theme, it was that of progressing through the failure as a Forest Ranger, failing to save the forest, ("only you can prevent wildfires") and through injury to save yours and two others souls in the end.
