Was an interesting game and definitely spooky because of the sinister things that are suggested throughout the whole game; with the medicine and the weird people and the 'reports.' It looked pretty nice as well! Loved the shadows and lighting. The whole concept of the game was pretty good and the fact that it keeps repeating also intrigued me while also makes it enticing any players to go through it and try different kind of options to see if they get a different 'end.'

And that's where the game is a bit lacklustre; the end(ings). There could have been so much more done with it but all the endings seemed to be pretty much the same where the smoking dude and the lady said pretty much the same things and the spider girl was throw in there for creep factor (which did get to me at first, I'll admit.) The reports could have been used more to show what might be happening and same with the room; things could have moved around or things could have changed maybe to show that the room maybe isn't real or the character might be hallucinating something, etc.

The shadows around the edges of the screen was definitely cool but it didn't really add to anything except initial creepy factor. Maybe making sleep a necessity and not going to bed after a certain amount of time would cause some sort of bad effect or cause the player to collapse, etc would have been a cool thing? This would also give limited amounts of time to look around the room in case there were things that changed every day and this would give replay ability a lot as well as even if players took the same 'route' (choices like taking pills or not, lying or telling the truth in their reports, etc) they might explore different things each time and uncover more of the story eventually.

I did personally like having the no definitive ending, it did add to the sinister layer of the game, but with it having been only mentioned once or twice by the lady and man, it didn't have that much of an impact than it could have (or at least, I thought so.)

Also skipping though the days by sleeping sort of felt.. Janky? Like there was a frame of animation missing with something important to show the player, but that could just have been me.

But I do have to say that the sounds were well made! The telephone ringing and door banging was well done to be annoying, though I am sensitive to sounds and did find it annoying, I take that in a good way as that was the intent for it to be,  so well done on that!

The above are my thoughts and might not match your intentions of the game and the story and just my personal opinion and I do not mean any insult to your ideals for the game at all, but I just felt like there could be so much more to what there is already and with the creepiness, weirdness and intrigue to the game, a lot could have been done!

But I do have to say that I did enjoy the game and its ideas, it was a pretty smooth game with good ideas behind it!

Thanks a lot for such a thorough review! 😄

A lot of the things, that are missing from the game come down to the lack of time. The game was made in 72hours during a Ludum Dare 48 game jam, and we have not updated it since. I agree that the endings felt low cluster and meaningless, and the gameplay can be improved in many ways.

Initially, we actually wanted to make so the room and your surroundings change as you go through the days. The "reports" mechanic also should have been a little bit more complicated. I was planning to give the player the ability to write an actual report by himself. But once again, we ran out of time, so none of those things were implemented 😔

As of today, I doubt that we would make an update for this game any time soon. But if we do come back to this project someday, we would consider your (and other people who gave us feedback) suggestions.

And I'm glad that you enjoyed the game, even in its current state. Thanks again for playing! 🙂

P.S. You can change the sensitivity in POSTJAM version. It's the only update we've made 😄Just press ESC when the game was started.
