Yeah, this is my first game jam too. There are defiantly a lot of things to learn from it but I am looking forward to the next one. And I too was having issues with running out of time. I think I procrastinate for some stuff for too long.
I've started playing your game and it's really interesting and fun! I've bookmarked it so I can come back to it tomorrow to finish and rate it as it's almost 3am in the UK and I should probably sleep.
