We tried to make sure they all had pretty good offensive abilities so it didn't feel like you had to wade through the other characters to get back to the character with the highest DPS, but I definitely think with more playtesting we could have helped them settle into more of a distinct role. Currently they are supposed to be Warrior: High Damage, but you need to get close, Ranger: Med-High Single Target damage, but not much spread, Mage: Medium Damage, but has AOE effects so it's better at crowds.
