I saw this game on Vimlark's stream and had to check it for myself. He certainly made it look more difficult than it actually was, I got the boss on a fourth try I think. The lasso feels a bit strange, but I think it's actually because it's hard to tell the aimed angle just from the rotation of the big circle around the player. Some kind of a more directional visual cue would help that. Other than that I really liked the game, the difficulty is scaled fine with the sheep>boars>bandit boss. Some kind of a stylized map in the village showing the world layout would also spare the player some random wandering in the beginning.

Thanks so much for the comment! We definitely don't communicate enough information to the player because we were short on time, but this was the only time we got a little frustrated watching someone's playthrough. The lasso hitbox and stun durations can be unforgiving at times though so I understand some of his difficulties with it xD

We talked about visual indicators for the lasso, but I actually snap the lasso target position if the angle is within 60 degrees of where you're aiming to make it a lot easier so an indicator of where its going to land might look weird, not to mention its spinning. My other idea was just to change the cursor color when the timing is right. Open to suggestions if you had an idea in mind for the indicator! We had the idea that the lasso would also hit anything along its path to make it easier and Vimlark actually suggested this too, but we didn't have time for the change. Other people have suggested a minimap, but I think I like your idea of having a map in the village a lot more!

Thanks for playing and all the feedback! Good job capturing that dastardly Diggle too!
