Very atmospheric and very spooky! That being said, a lot of the scares came from the first few minutes of the game, where the sound effects are eardrum-shatteringly loud. The atmospheric effects are really cool on paper: The eyes outside the house being more prevalent and staring at you as you move through the maze of a house, the pair of eyes that randomly spawn in front of you to spook you, the idea that sounds are playing like there is someone else in the house. The volume wasn't great, and I'm not sure about the flashlight turning off and the camera shaking. Maybe if there was an end-point and these were only ramped up towards the very end and not throughout most of the experience?
But I'm not sure there's actually a win or lose condition. I had to turn down my volume in order not to go deaf, which meant the spooks weren't as scary when they occurred, mainly cause I got used to them, and now that they weren't ripping my ears apart, they were more creepy than scary. I quit after, I think, my 15th light switch?
So, off to a VERY strong start! The first 3-5 minutes had me on edge, then I quickly recognized the patterns, and the game became quite predictable. With some more work, this could be a really good game! A solid entrant, and if this was only a week's worth, I can't wait to see what you will be able to produce with more time! :)
