Nice idea, really nice use of 3d audio, okay writing in the notes!

The whole encounter sequence however is not that great, i literally kited him for 5-10 minutes, died 2 times, got him stuck in the vent chamber, before i understood that you could just double click on the elevator for it to arrive. And here i was waiting for it to open it's doors automatically. 

That was pretty annoying, but other than that - solid stuff!

The encounter definitely needed refining - the elevator will automatically open once the monster is within a certain distance, but there's nothing in the level design to indicate this which I should have realised. With hindsight I'd probably place the elevator at the end of a long corridor and use the monster to trap the player in this section and force them to wait
