It was very chaotic, especially trying to play both characters at the same time. I think the idea of changing the controls around randomly could provide some really interesting gameplay but I don't think you quite hit the mark here. Maybe there needed to be a better visual queue of the control change, perhaps a image of the keys or a control pad rotating to give you a clue as to the new controls, the challenge should be to get your brain to change it's mental map of what button does what rather than having to cycle through the buttons every change to figure out what the buttons now do using trial and error.

Definitely a better visual cue for the change would be better, but I don't know if I agree with showing the control changes. Part of the challenge is deciding whether you can make it those extra 3 seconds before the controls switch, or if you want to play it safe and wait. Perhaps an easy/hard mode, but we'll see once we make our other changes.
