In what way does your game fit the theme?
Our game fits the theme of this year's game jam by filling out the main requirements of chaos "Complete disorder and confusion". We fill this theme by having our art style being DaDa! Dada is a very confusing and chaotic art style to most who look at it. We also add to the confusion factor by having our controls switch every 30 to 60 seconds having you on your toes and a bunch of other little gimmicks that you will just have to find out by playing our game!
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes (assuming it means the team, credits in description)

It was very chaotic, especially trying to play both characters at the same time. I think the idea of changing the controls around randomly could provide some really interesting gameplay but I don't think you quite hit the mark here. Maybe there needed to be a better visual queue of the control change, perhaps a image of the keys or a control pad rotating to give you a clue as to the new controls, the challenge should be to get your brain to change it's mental map of what button does what rather than having to cycle through the buttons every change to figure out what the buttons now do using trial and error.
Definitely a better visual cue for the change would be better, but I don't know if I agree with showing the control changes. Part of the challenge is deciding whether you can make it those extra 3 seconds before the controls switch, or if you want to play it safe and wait. Perhaps an easy/hard mode, but we'll see once we make our other changes. Thanks for your feedback!
Whoa! It is very confusing game. But I like it a lot! I wish there was also a single player mode of somekind.. :) Really loved the DaDa theme. Suits so well with the theme of the jam...
I know I Shouldn't be adverising here but wanted you to see this! It is a video where I play accordion in Salvador Dali Mask. xD
Would be nice if it was clearer when controls are gonna change and the difficulty was insane. However, still had a lot of fun! <3
Were you able to see the text at the top that signaled the change? It probably could use some more highlighting though, so we'll get on that! Thanks for playing!
Insane game!!!
Our artists are talented, aren't they! Since we passed the threshold, we'll let other projects get the votes they need. Thanks for helping us across the finish line! We'll hopefully clean up the game so it is controlled chaos instead.
Dang.. You really went all out with 'chaotic'.
Indeed. That was our goal ;)
Interesting concept, definitely very chaotic too. Felt a bit distracting and confusing with all the stuff on screen at one time and the constantly changing movement but it just made it even more chaotic. One suggestion would be maybe add some SFX (or maybe there were and I didn’t hear them) when jumping or when hitting a car, also the credits that open up by pressing the button on the top-left of the UI is a bit basic, could do with a better font and maybe a background. Overall it was really cool though!
SFX for the jumping is a good idea! Maybe we'll do some funny voice acting for that if we revisit the game. Finding that balance with background distraction is indeed important. Any suggestions? Perhaps making assets smaller/bigger?
Maybe try make the player more visible compared to the other art, (like either making other things like cars smaller or making the player itself bigger or just simply neater to see), that would already do a lot with the distraction aspect of it, also maybe give a bit more time before shifting controls/direction so that it is easier to see what is happening and get over the initial confusion created.
Cool game! Very caotic! Well done:)
Thanks!
well this game was chaotic! LOL BTW thank you for warning me about the motion sickness! very much appreciate that
Glad that you liked it! If we ever revisit the game, motion sickness will probably be the first thing we tackle while maintaining the chaos. Good luck to you!
Heyo ~
I really enjoyed the art style, I thought it was unique and extremely stylized and I loved exploring to see more of the environment.
I know you put a warning in the description but I think it's really worth mentioning that I had a lot of trouble with the camera movement. It was very jarring and I think it crossed the line of challenging and frustrating. Maybe some smooth transitioning or some sort of Lerp could help out a little bit with that.
I really hope you continue with this theme, I think if you continued incorporated more of the Dada style into gameplay elements you could make a really stellar game. Well done team :)
Thanks for the nice comments! We had an issue of finding out how to limit the spin in unity so super sorry for that if it affected you negatively, we are trying to find a way to limit it! Thanks again and have a good day!
If you have any ideas on how to limit the speed, please let us know! We'd love to hear what we can do. We use Unity 2020 ver
I like your idea and this is very "chaotic" haha. The art style is very unique in a good way as well. Good job!
Thanks so much!
nice game! cool art and it is appropriate with the theme, great work! keep it up!
Thanks a lot! We will!
Not quite sure what is happening but it definitely is chaotic! Neat game.

Thanks! We will definitely play your game! Looks chaotic (0.0)
This is definitely very chaotic. I really like the idea of your controls switching after a short amount of time. But I really wish the camera would rotate as much because I would get kinda motion sick (having dinner before playing didn't really help haha). It also makes it hard to know if you are making any progress. I think if you replaced the camera rotating with there being different camera effects (like darkening the scene or having a wavey effect) this would make it easier for the play to know where they are without sacrificing the chaos. Regardless your team did an amazing job =)
Hey! Thanks for your comment! We are sorry about the motion sickness! We put a warning on the game because we could not find a way to limit the spin in unity! I saw that you have been working on some games! Do you have any ideas on how to do this? Any help is appreciated!
The first time one of the characters tumbled and the camera went with it was very disorienting but also really chaotic!
Thanks! Yeah we did have a problem with limiting the spin but it is very chaotic!
This was fun Great work!
Thank you so much!
Really liked the art in this, the game looks great. Having it 2-player is impressive!
Thanks so much! Yeah, this was the first time that our programmers tried two player inputs and it worked out well!
Great game! well done!
Thank you so much!
I don't know what's happening but I liked it!
The description has some instructions for you! Let us know if anything is unclear.
Same I do not either ;-;
The concept was great. It was challenging to move the player but it was fun. Will play again.
Would appreciate if you rate mine: https://itch.io/jam/brackeys-6/rate/1176432
Yeah it was challenging! We will go check it out now!
