The presentation here is top notch. Simple as they are, the visuals do a great job of selling the vibe of chatting with someone on the other side of space from a computer screen, down to the side-by-side organization of the text. That animation of the main character's words flying around is another particularly great touch. In addition to that, the sparse sound does a great job of letting the viewer just sit and ponder what they're reading without leaving the soundscape totally empty.
I also like how the interaction here is largely used to add further context to the setting and the main character on display. Restarting the game to see what else he said in response to different dialogue choices added to the mental image of who this guy is and what really brought him all the way out here, along with the kind of history he's trying to leave behind him.
This is a very good first showing when it comes to making interactive fiction! Bravo.
