I just updated the game but not sure if it'll fix your issues at all as I cannot reproduce them unfortunately
Tried it again and it works, not sure what happened the first time.
It's a nice sandbox to explore and test out the different mech types, and well the rest still applies in termes of qualities from what i said on my first comment :)
