Funny thing is i did want to add places and enemies that require you NOT to use the pulse, but didn't manage to do it in time, so i dropped the idea entirely.
I thought about putting the pulse on a timer, even tested it out, but i felt like it was a little too tricky and annoying, since there are situations when you don't need it.
Anyway, i agree, the implementation of the pulse is not perfect and i appreciate your feedback!
