Thank you for playing! I was considering making the sword rotate only a certain amount, but then i figured that knight's hand rotation will affect that amount and will lead to unprecise movement, which is aggrevating, so i decided to keep the current system. But i see what you are talking about.

Like the idea and the mood of the game. You definitely did a great work with the art, good job!

Obscuring the player's face was a nice choice to add to the creepyness. My only nitpick is that the time between activities is too short and the suspicion starts to rise too soon, even with sprinting. But it isn't really a problem, since you get quite a lot of time to solve the puzzle.

Thank you for extensive feedback, glad you liked the concept! I have been thinking about what gameplay changes i'd make and there is definitely quite a lot of things you can potentially do to make the game more interesting, that's true.

Thank you for the feedback! Yes, unfortunately gameplay could use some balancing and variety, but that's Game Jams for ya, gotta set your priorities right.

Thank you, glad you like it!

Great game, fun to play just like the original. You managed to put in quite a lot of content, and i like how the Tybor can see the beneficial card combinations to pick, good job!

Unusual spin on the bullet hell concept with good art and hilarious voice acting, nice job! As others pointed out, i wish there was a little bit more content, but it's still pretty challenging the more you play, so it's not that much of a problem.

Pretty interesting variant of "reverse golf" concept, i did not expect the game rules to be that complex, but it turned out to be pretty solid puzzle game.

Good job!

Yes, it is indeed very unfortunate, but i'm glad to hear that you liked the concept regardless. Thank you for playing!

Cool mix of styles and the game idea is pretty complex, good work! Took me a moment to figure out, but once you get rolling, it's pretty hard to lose.

The concept might be predictable, but you executed the game mechanics pretty well, down to original's ghost AI. The visuals and the sound design also make it really feel like a game you'd see in an arcade, well done!

Cool concept, sadly due to it's complexity it seems to have a lot of bugs (at least in WebGL version). I noticed that glue trap can be applied only once and after placing 5 blocks you can't place any more. If you buy it again, you just waste energy. Also escapees can walk past by your traps diagonally... You learn to work with this after couple of tries, but it is tiring to just wait for the energy to slowly refill.

But that's the limitations of a Game Jam, can't put out a perfect game in such a short time. I see your vision and i think this idea has potential for a proper game, so i'd say you did well!

Pretty fun idea and nice visuals, good job! Kinda wish you could move the platforms with mouse, because it gets really finicky with small ones, but that's just a nitpick.

As people pointed out, the controls feel floaty, which leads to a lot of deaths, especially with those turtle slam parts. The levels are pretty long and midway checkpoints would be nice, since the levels are not easy and missing some jumps can be very punishing (especially on the last level).

Still, it's a pretty good platformer with solid game mechanics that are used throughout the levels, good job!

Pretty original and fun idea with constantly changing rules. Gets pretty tricky towards the end, but not to a point where it gets aggrevating. As others pointed out, keyboard shortcuts would be great, since towards the end you have to flip between multiple buttons really fast, but it's not big of a deal, since i managed to finish the game regardless.

Love the humor and execution, feels like a finished game, great job!

Thank you for playing! Still don't know if i'll update the game post Jam, but i'm glad to hear people are interested to see a better version.

Thank you for the feedback! People definitely gave quite a lot of suggestions to spice up the gameplay and it was pretty interesting to see how people imagine it should look.

Yes, looking at the feedback people are giving, the main issues with the game are balancing and engagement. That's the worst thing to fall behind on, but that's on me.

Either way, thank you for playing!

Thank you! Yes, sadly i noticed the exploit way too late and didn't manage to fix it in time, but there is way more issues with the gameplay loop, as people pointed out, that needs balancing or even an complete overhaul.

Regardless, i learned a lot and got to experiment on new things.

Thank you! Yes, i agree, this project is pretty much carried by the visuals. I spent too much time making the mechanic work, but didn't actually make it engaging enough, as you said. But, hey, that's Game Jams for ya, gotta set priorities.

Thank you for the feedback! I also had the idea of making some monsters attack you, so you'd have to block the attack (but i guess that's technically a parry, as you said). Funnily enough, that's why a goblin has a broom, but i didn't manage to make it in time.

If only it was that simple...

Fun game with a neat concept, similar to "Choose your own adventure", good job! I really liked checking out the different combinations to see how they change the game. The only nitpick i have is that i wish there was a way to skip the typing animation and get to the options faster.

Pretty polished game with a simple, but addicting, concept. Obviously, one of the best executions of the "reverse Vampire Survivors" games here.

It's very impressive how you managed to make pretty much a complete game in such short period, great work!

As much as i would've preferred an original concept, i gotta admit, this is executed pretty well, good work!

I really like how you added a fog that obscures your vision, which prevents you from just gunning to the closest interactable or camera.

Well, to be fair, you are still moving through levels. :P

Either way nice puzzle game, some riddles took me a while to solve, but it was fun regardless, good work!

Very nice puzzle game with quite an original concept. I really liked the different mechanics you've managed to implement, great work!

Okay, at first i thought it's going to be pretty basic, but you managed to make pretty creative mini-games (and challenging too), good job!

In a sea of "reverse Flappy Bird" games, yours stands out above many, good job! It takes a bit of time for a brain to readjust, which makes the game challenging (in a good sense).

Silly concept, although in my opinion it's very thinly connected to the Jam's theme.

Nonetheless, good work creating a stealth game in a short period!

Pretty smart puzzle game and nice visuals. Really feels like a finished game, great job!

I love how deep the mechanics are, definitely flexes your brain noodle.

Pretty fun game with nice mechanics, similar to tower defense genre. Also seeing the gold pile grow is very satisfying, not gonna lie.

You managed to put in quite a lot of content and nice visuals, good job!

This good looking game has a very engaging gameplay and it's pretty complex too! I'm impressed by how much you managed to do in such a short time and make all mechanics work properly with physics, great job!

Awesome game, i really like the unique concept you came up with and the visuals look very nice too, great job!

This is a great submission that fits the theme perfectly, easy to get into and fun to play!

(1 edit)

The concept might be not so original, but the gameplay is still pretty addicting and it's fun to try out different attacks and level up. Controls feel a bit sluggish though, but i suppose that's on purpose, so that you can improve with level ups.

Either way, good job on making a proper game!

When i read the premise, at first i thought "what we can possibly do?", but turns out - a lot!

Despite some bugs and simplicity, it's a neat game with pleasing art, good job!

Yes, i agree, the gameplay is not balanced at all and lacks variety, but ironically enough i did spent less time on game looking nice. Frankly, most of my time went into making the mechanics work and fixing the bugs.

Thanks! I didn't consider the different weapons, but one of the reviewers suggested different heroes with their own fighting style, to which you have to adapt. I also considered making monsters not just stand there but attack, block and dodge. There is lot that can be done here, if you think about it.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you, glad you like it!

Pretty original concept, it was kinda surprising to see that we have a somewhat similar theme in our games, although yours is going for a different narrative and mechanic, and i like it.

Good job!
