I had a hard laugh because of the hitting sound effects.

Now being serious:

The game overall is fine, I mean, it isn't bad, but the idea isn't really that original, and it feels like an Space Invaders but you have to reload.

I like the recharging mechanic, it kinda makes it different from said game. However, the ufo and the fish could be replaced with most things and the game wouldn't be that different.

What makes me like your game, is that you wanted to make it funny-looking and with the sound effects and art style, it's really funny to play and you get a smile on your face, that, and the effort you put on it, make me like it some more. However, I think these jams are about making original content, not just adding the elements / limitations as an afterthought, but making them integrated in your game for real.

Still, I see you really like doing these games, so don't feel bad! This is just a comment pointing out some things to try to help you improve, but you can ignore them if you want. Feel free to do what you like the most, just wanted to give an opinion about this.

Farewell.

Hello Missing William! Haha thank you very much for the feedback. You spent time to do it and I really appreciated it.

There's nothing that made me feel sad about your comments. I think you are right. It's my third jam, and I am basically a newbie. I don't even know how to make a browser game. And, honestly, space invaders is one of the few games I know how to code hehe, so pretty much I was influenced, for sure. I was not aware enough about the creative nature os jams, I mean, to really use the concepts in the core of everything. That makes a lot of sense.. I will try to put more efforts on it. Thanks again for the valuable advice.

I will play and rate your game tomorrow, when I managed to have some time.

Take care!

I'm glad you took my advice the way I wanted it to communicate. Also, it's very mature of your part to actually get all kinds of feedback in a constructive way.  I get that space invaders might be a big inspiration for you since you already learned how to code it, for what I understood, but remember that the best games are the ones with original ideas, so you can get inspiration from everywhere you want, but to get something unique, you probably will have not to learn how to code a certain game, and instead, learn how to code YOUR specific game, get things to work the way you want.

Glad to hear you'll try my game tomorrow! Hope you spend a great time while playing it! I'm also not that expert in jams or game design, but the project I came up with seem to be of the taste of some folks over here, hope it is yours too!

And remember, even if you don't win the jam itself, you'll still gain experience from it, and that will make you improve in the future, I'd like to see more of you on some next jam, maybe Minijam 92 or anything you choose, that's up to you.

All my best wishes!
