The spooky visuals contradicting the narrator's composed and relaxed initial commentary had me immediately engaged. It's unsettling to see the environment in a different way than the main character. You know something is up.

I am very bad at handling horror so I had to sit with my girlfriend to go through this one lol. The thing that had me most on edge was the music and sound effects and the subtle and varying ways they glitched out, not to mention that damn Emergency Broadcast alarm that instills visceral fear every time I hear it. I am spooked. Really nice job!

Did you get to play the original (Monochrome)?  I have roughly 10 connected visual novels as well as an ARG that ties into them spread around the internet in various clues, creepy websites, and a youtube page tie-ins. It's all pretty messed up (in a good ole' cosmic horror sorta way).

Yes, I intentionally did that with the music. Somehow it psychologically effects the reader/player when their mind registers that something about the melody is 'off' from what it previously (or normally) should be, creating unease. Doki Doki Literature Club did a hell of a job with that, too. ^_^

I hope the Weather Channel was informative, too! xD
