I have always just used GIMP for everything. It works, though it is a bit clunky for animation. I’m sure there’s a plugin to make that better, though.

i might have to try it, is it any good for seamless textures? like hd to uhd  kinda textures? also its manditory you show us your work haha!

I haven’t really done that much art.

GIMP is fine for 90% of general image manipulation tasks. Basically most things that you would use Photoshop for, GIMP can do as well, though often not as well. It isn’t great for animation because it isn’t really meant for it.
