“…I see.. Heh, so.. you finally wanna get out of her with your brother? Good to see a change in you.. we’ll leave tonight, when they fall asleep, if what you say is true, they will fall asleep early. So do not worry..
(Oki!)
" Can you put the book down, Star?"
Star turned his head towards the sound of his father's voice. He bent his head and closed the book slowly, running his fingers over the cover once before putting it down next to him.
"What do you want, Father?" Star asked. "I think I already know, but I need to hear you say it for it to be real."
There was silence for a while and Star could see the blurry figure of his father fidgeting a little.
"Your mother and I are planning your coming-of-age ball-"
"I don't want one." Star interrupted. Phillip blinked.
"But, Roman, it's one of the most important-"
"Important events of a future king's life, I know. It's where you find a queen. But I'm not going to."
Star turned his head to face his father. It gave him the uncanny look of looking directly into your soul.
"What person is going to want to marry a prince who can't see? If you get married, you want your partner to be able to tell you you're beautiful or that you look wonderful. I can't do that. So who's going to want to marry me?"
This had Phillip a little stumped.
"Star, there are lots of other reasons to have a coming-of-age ball. It's a place where you meet everyone who's going to be your future advisors and-"
"Then why didn't Lunar ever have one?"
Lunar would soon just tip his head slightly down, turning his seat to the side as if what ones words had hurt him.. that one being star, as he did not realize how much that would’ve effected him dearly..
“…We do not speak of that, you understand that he is-“
L: “An untrustworthy kid.. who can not even keep the steps in front of him steady.. j know father.. but you not need to remind me of my past.. I understand what I’ve did wrong.. and I know you shall never accept that fact.. so just leave it be..”
Star stood up, knocking his chair over in the process, hands clenching
"I will not sit here and let you continue to talk about my brother this way! You may not appreciate him, but he is the only person in this family who can bear to so much as look as me. He would make a better ruler than you or I ever could, and I demand that he be treated with the same level of respect that you extend to the other members of the nobility."
