timeskip to later in the day

Star didn't pause his reading as the door opened. He already knew who it was from the footsteps, and he could pretty much guess what his father wanted to talk to him about.

(Didya readddd it?)

(heh, no no, not yeeet, I will though! I just can not right now as, we are about to leave, and I believe my next class with stall me from my phone -w-)

“…Father, what do you need, me and star were just about to study together.”

..-sigh-.. lunar..-

(Oki!)

" Can you put the book down, Star?"

Star turned his head towards the sound of his father's voice. He bent his head and closed the book slowly, running his fingers over the cover once before putting it down next to him.

"What do you want, Father?" Star asked. "I think I already know, but I need to hear you say it for it to be real."

There was silence for a while and Star could see the blurry figure of his father fidgeting a little.

"Your mother and I are planning your coming-of-age ball-"

"I don't want one." Star interrupted. Phillip blinked.

"But, Roman, it's one of the most important-"

"Important events of a future king's life, I know. It's where you find a queen. But I'm not going to."

Star turned his head to face his father. It gave him the uncanny look of looking directly into your soul.

"What person is going to want to marry a prince who can't see? If you get married, you want your partner to be able to tell you you're beautiful or that you look wonderful. I can't do that. So who's going to want to marry me?"

This had Phillip a little stumped.

"Star, there are lots of other reasons to have a coming-of-age ball. It's a place where you meet everyone who's going to be your future advisors and-"

"Then why didn't Lunar ever have one?"

Lunar would soon just tip his head slightly down, turning his seat to the side as if what ones words had hurt him.. that one being star, as he did not realize how much that would’ve effected him dearly..

“…We do not speak of that, you understand that he is-“

L: “An untrustworthy kid.. who can not even keep the steps in front of him steady.. j know father.. but you not need to remind me of my past.. I understand what I’ve did wrong.. and I know you shall never accept that fact.. so just leave it be..”

"But that's not fair. For him or for anyone else. You're telling me that just because my brother is sometimes a bit reckless, he doesn't have the right to come of age? He'll already be of age when you have the ball. Either Lunar and I get a coming-of-age ball together or I don't have one at all."

“You do not decide that of one’s coming-of-age star. If I do not feel the need for him to have one, you sha respect that order.. he is far to drunk whenever he should be useful, you should know that

"Don't try and change my mind, Father, I won't have it any other way. It's not fair otherwise. And perhaps he drinks because of the disapproval and blame you constantly place on him."

“You are forgetting the fact he has brought that disapproval to himself, if he had just listen once to his teacher, once to his family, then maybe he wouldn’t have brought shame to our family..”

Star stood up, knocking his chair over in the process, hands clenching

"I will not sit here and let you continue to talk about my brother this way! You may not appreciate him, but he is the only person in this family who can bear to so much as look as me. He would make a better ruler than you or I ever could, and I demand that he be treated with the same level of respect that you extend to the other members of the nobility."

“.. You, do not have that power.. Star. You are but a prince, the next ruler of the throne, the only way he would EVER…be treated just like you.. is if I was whipped into exhaustion by his hand, but you and I both know he’s both unable to do so.. and will soon never have that chance.. go to your room.. this.. instant.”

What a surprise, for a moment I thought you were gone.

But a friendly reminder: I'm not partaking in any online dating, nor am I a roleplayer anymore. It's just not me, but we can be friends. If you want.

oh that’s fine, I can understand that. And no worries! If your not like that anymore your not like that anymore -v-
