Yes, i am able to load the full stack via the menu, and sometimes whilst interacting with the control panel the mouse goes off screen and opens up the dock, making the control panel slightly harder to use

ok, thanks for the feedback! I guess, I should make the cursor behaving similar to Linux then. Probably I change it completely in the future when I don't use WebGL anymore.

I just payed for StarbaseSim. I followed the methods described. It is a non-starter.

Neither changing permissions or using terminal worked.

I am using a 2020 MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.0.1 (It is usually stated when an app is too old for the latest systems, but I could not see any such warning before I payed). If you have a new version on the way I will wait a bit, but if not I think I should have my money back. Can't open
