The other user seems relaxed to me. Personally, I think your original comment is… how to put it in English… misplaced (mind, not wrong).
Over the years many authors have put their own spin on Succubi; there are those who stick close to the myth and others who turn a Succubus into a creature who keeps her "victim" around and gets lovey-dovey with him/her.
That said, Monster Girl Dreams' take on monster girls and succubi isn't off the mark, it establishes fairly soon why things work the way they do in Lucidia. Convenient plot device? Maybe you think of it like that, I don't know, I'd like to add something else… this very page states: "You can also spend time getting immersed in the game's whimsical setting and (usually) upbeat tone," it's clear one isn't going to find the same kind of Succubi experience provided by S.Q.D.T.'s Succubus Academia (example) here. To have the gall to come here and say to the author he/she missed the mark when it's made known the game goes for — and maintains a light tone is amazing in itself.
EDIT:
Addendum. From personal experience, fetishes are a source of a danger, from a gameplay perspective… indulge too much into whatever gets you going down there and you're going to have a hard time avoiding some of the stuff those ladies throw at you (even if over-levelled, throwing this out there, I've beaten the strongest opponent currently available in the game "solo" and she was fighting at full power… can still get screwed over by fetishes). What? The costs for removing those and increased sensitivity aren't steep? Well, way to shorten the grind.
