Phew. That's a relief. So if you don't mind me asking, when IS the next update going to be released? I feel like I've been playing 1.16 forever. Or do you not have an estimate for the release date? Don't get me wrong though, the game is amazing, but I'm itching for something new.
It's getting there :P Patreon will get it before end of the month, then usually 2-3 weeks after for the public :D
Normally I would have had an update out already but University coupled with a very busy February pushed me back a little.
That and since it's reaching the end of story based content, I figured I would do one larger update than a bunch of smaller ones.
Actually, since I'm here, I can't figure out how to activate the machines in the lab I wake up in. I keep entering all the passwords for the machines I find, like the enhancer, strengthener, etc., but no matter how many times I enter them, the machines won't activate. What am I doing wrong?
Edit: Nevermind, I found the Control Panel Access Code in the Lab, which had NO INDICATION OF BEING THERE AT ALL!!! (Inhale) Could you by any chance put one of those little light things you put on interactable things to show people that there is something there in your next update so people like me don't lose their godd@m minds spending literal weeks trying to figure out how to get the machines working? Or if there is one, can you make it more noticeable? That would be much appreciated.
Yeah, I know those locations by heart because of how often I see them. Three are hidden in the forest and one is hidden inside the middle trash bag inside the lab. For the codes in the forest, one is written on a stone plaque by the pond next to the entrance to where the ogre resides, another is written on a piece of paper inside a tent that's protected by two orcs patrolling outside (and it's also where you find the green? slime girl), while the third code is hidden inside a cave that's guarded at all times by a minotaur which you will have to defeat to gain access. An arrow made of rocks will point out where in the cave the code lies. I know you are aware of all this, but some people might not know about some of this, like the garbage bag and the paper. I only found the garbage bag one because I had just started the game and didn't know what was interactable and what wasn't, so I just interacted with almost everything.
Also, if you've made it this far into my rant, I'd like to ask if you can add some kind of way to grind for money in this game? The only way I've found to make quick money is by beating the champion in the contest hall, but it's just feels so slow and tedious, and it's especially annoying without the stuffing or gluttony ability (can't fill my character's stomach without them). I know I'm getting 1,200 gold per victory, but it's just feels so repetitive and boring, that it feels like it takes me half an hour just to get 5 grand.
I could probably just fight the custom monsters I can make, but that requires a crap ton of financial investment. 2,000 gold (Edit: 3,000 gold apparently) per capture net (which can only capture 5 monsters before breaking), capturing at least 10 different regular monsters to make each custom monster, it just doesn't feel worth it.
Yeah, that's something that's been on my mind for a while. It's trying to balance money properly. It's damn hard. As far I know, most people use the Casino. You buy chips and then save. You play, if you win, save again, if you lose, you just reload. You can get a ton of money easily this way, but it can be tedious. I'll try think of something else to add. Maybe something like pokemon has, monster drops that just sell for large amounts of gold.
Yup, I didn't like the capture net either. The next update has it dropped to 2000 gold and durability is 15 to begin with. So you get more bang for your back.
Actually, what I think would be a great fix (at least for now) is if you were actually able to sell things to the store owners like Eloise. Something I wouldn't mind doing for a couple quick grands would be to collect a large amount of fish from fishing spots and then selling them to stores. Unfortunately, the only store I could find that allows me to sell stuff was the monster drop guy who only appears in the forest once every 4 days.
Yeah, I had plans to make people buy stuff, but getting certain items was too easy.
Although, I could get around it by offering peanuts for items. So you can sell excess stuff, but you won't get much for it. Mostly cause getting a lot of items like fish, isn't tied to actions. So you could spend 10 minutes clicking, get a bunch, sell them and make a lot of money quickly.
I might add in a Pawn Broker style NPC who will buy certain stuff if you have it (with rotating items). They'll offer decent money, but the items they'll want will vary daily.
