Hello,

I am willing to cut and paste on cardboard for half an hour in order to play a game I am excited to play. It doesn’t work if I have to play the game to find it exciting, though. You can use lavish, watermouthing colours for the pdf: it doesn’t make it more costly and that’s where people will discover the game.

Some things you’ve got ample time to consider after 15 minutes of printing and cutting!

  • Ink colour printig being what it is (a scam), I’d go for B/W.
  • It is very boring to have to rearrange layout or print size, or manage recto-verso.
  • Round angles are impossible to get right and
  • Double cuts (leaving a margin between pieces) are a painful waste of time.

More generally, in my modest experience, if you want people to print the game, you can’t compete with their expectations in terms of low cost eye candy. Still, iconic vector drawings with style can do the trick.

And that was my 2cts! The best for your project!

Thank you DeReel for the answer. Definitely a useful one to consider and think about. Cheers :)
