This was great fun!
Things I liked:
- I like how you used transparencies to add more values and tones to, what would otherwise be, a pretty limited palette. I like the colors you chose instead of regular black&white, it adds a lot to the overall good art style.
- The controls feel nice and responsive
- The level design is very good and the goal for completing each section is very clear.
- The mechanic is very original and fresh (or I just haven't encountered anything like it so far)
Suggestions:
- The beginning feels a little bit too hard, even though it gets easier once you collect more ammo. Reducing the difficulty at the beginning makes sure the player can play longer without giving up.
- The platform "bullet" disappears before it hits the wall, it seems. I'm guessing it's because you want to make sure the platform's position feels right once it's created. It takes away from some potential close-range trick shots.
Overall, great game I wouldn't mind spending money on should you take it further.
