Wow, a video too! The game could definitely use some more number tweaking to avoid a few things that happened to you.  I need to look into some of the bugs you got and try to fix them. Thanks for pointing them out!

It's a shame you couldn't finish it. A nice little prototype!

It took me a few tries but I managed to get all 5! The main mechanic is very good, but as people have pointed out it wasn't very obvious what to do with the ropes at first. Great experience overall!

I loved the art style!  The door opening really does magic for the immersion and makes the character 'me' rather than 'it'. Excellent job, It's sad you didn't have time to finish, I'd love to play it again once it's done!

I really liked the game and the level design, it shows you went through multiple iterations to get it right!

What I liked:

  • The game kept me going and I have reached the end
  • I like how the character also fades away as the health gets lower.
  • It's just the right length for the game jam.

Suggestions / Questions:

  • I wish the character controller was a bit more responsive. I've missed a number of jumps due to its floatiness.
  • I whish you had the time to finish the level design, some of those white rectangles are taking away from the immersion.
  • Enemies were easy to kill just by spamming attack button, perhaps a time limit to prevent the spam would make them more challenging (also, sad to see them as white squares too)

The difficulty level was just right for a game jam, making it accessible to a wide range of players.

What I liked:

  • The puzzle gameplay is really enjoyable and keeps you engaged.
  • The character animation is hilarious , I loved its floppy arms.
  • The game fits the game jam theme very well.

Suggestions / Questions:

  • I'm curious about the decision to have fixed movement instead of free-roam. Was this intentional for gameplay reasons?
  • While the use of the E key to interact with items and doors works, it does take away from the immersion a bit. Especially when running away from the creature. 
  • I encountered a bug where I'd die regardless if I'm being close the the creature or a screen or two away. (I'm just seeing the closet thing, sorry)

It's clear that you put a lot of care into making it, and it shows. Keep up the great work! I can see this becoming a bigger project in the future.

Hey, thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked it. Yeah, as you progress further down, the spawn chance related to the noise level increases a bit. It probably could use some number tweaking.

Thanks for playing. I'm happy to hear you liked it! The light just burns the enemies as they get closer, but doesn't last very long.  As a rule, as long as there aren't spikes, you should be fine going there.

Really fun idle clicker! The visuals are great, and the sound complements it well.  

the last 3(?) bosses do have a lot of HP,  especially compared to the first few. One more thing that's entirely personal - the scrolling background didn't do well for my brain and made me slightly motion sick.

Great submission! This was super fun to play. Very good 'multi-use' implementation.

The concept seems good, but I couldn't figure out how to get things to children as it resets every time I entered the elevator. 

The art style is beautiful! The sound design complements it very well. You know the game is good when you can't stop playing, which was me in this case. I've encountered one bug where I god stuck near the edge of the map and I had to restart. I couldn't duplicate it again though.  Great job overall!

Whatever critique I had was gone after I read about the left shift key.  Now I can just say - great job! This was super fun!

Great job on making so many 3d models for the jam! The weapon's dual use was pretty original!

If you think the blinking of the thermometer, that's intentional. It starts at ~20% to remind you it's gonna be frosty soon.  I'm happy you liked it!

It's a shame the game doesn't run very well on my laptop, It does look visually interesting.  

Interesting and fun game.  One of the most unique zombie designs I've seen in a long time. ;)

This reminds me of Survivor.io (but with a twist) and I love that game. 
I spent quite a bit of time playing it, I like how you need to balance between going out and shooting or just healing and upgrading stuff.  Good job!

A very interesting mix of different game mechanics.  I can easily see this being made into something bigger. Great job.

A relaxing game in the sea of fast-paced ones. I played it for quite a bit. 

Hey! Good use of AI-generated art. It all seems very consistent. The game quickly becomes a bit hectic, but it was a fun thing to try nonetheless.  Congrats on making your first game!

An interesting take on the Tower defense genre.  I'd like to see some rewards/benefits from building further away from the base. I managed to survive without even building a single coal burner.

It seems there's a conflict between your browser and the game. I would suggest downloading the game and giving it a go or trying a different browser (if you feel up for it). I've checked both WebGL and Win versions and couldn't replicate any of the two things you mentioned. I'm very sorry to hear you encountered these issues. 

Great game idea! 


What I liked: 

  • The character controller feels very good.
  • I like how the game wanted you to backtrack after turning the heater on, but the level changed to give you some extra challenge.
  • The double use of the wrench was a very nice touch.

Suggestions/comments:

  • I didn't quite like that levers had to be switched on only by one of the melee/ranged wrenches. In my opinion, there was no visual indication that would justify that decision. Enabling both options would open up a possibility for speedrunning the game for the ones who like the extra challenge.
  • The head spreading could've used more visual love. Everything else looks much more beautiful and polished. It just takes away from the good-looking art style.
  • The ESC button. :)

A good, fun demo with great potential to turn into something bigger.

  • Having a more consistent art style would make everything come together more nicely. Even though you made all of the assets they seem like they are not a part of the same asset pack.

What a great game!

I was a bit confused at first about how things work, but once I got the hang of it it became so much fun.

Things I liked:

  • Art style
  • The implementation of 'multi-use' and the theme.
  • The little narrative and the whole mother-baby relationship.

Suggestions:

  • While I like the turn animation of the character, I feel like the light shouldn't flip with it.  It breaks the feel of it all being 2d.

Great and fun game! I love the art style and the animations (especially the death one). The implementation of the multi-use was very well done.  From time to time the controls felt a bit unresponsive, but luckily the levels were short enough, so I didn't mind the restart.
