YEETUS-
ok.
I. SHALT. START. NOW AHEM-
Penny
Bring me your undesirablesssss.”
Dawn was approaching, and the muggy forest air brought no relief to the deep chill in her bones.
“Bring me your unwanted. Your unloved. Your friendlesssss.”
It was just Penny’s luck that she qualified.
Four sister villages, and one monster lurking in the forest. Dark creatures had been stealing livestock and the occasional resident for several years now. When the sheriff of one town had disappeared without a trace the villagers decided they had enough. It was better to throw their cards in with a sentient beast who could be reasoned with. Banding together, the villages sent a party off into the woods to find the creature that dwelled within.
It had asked for four things.
“One from each village.”
She could’ve cried. It would’ve been so much easier to cry, but Penny didn’t. She kept on a brave face as the villagers marched her deeper into the forest, into the naga’s territory.
“Here,” cried one when they reached the ring of fog. “We’ll leave her here.”
Penny stared at the wall of fog as they untied him. There were rumors about it. Supposedly, the fog was conjured by the naga himself and acted as a barrier. It was the only truly safe zone in the entire forest. Nothing could get in or out without the naga’s permission.
Someone gripped the back of her shirt, making Penny squeak. She could feel the villagers roll their eyes and snort as they dragged her closer to the fog.
“Try to give him a decent chase, will ya?” he said before tossing Penny over the edge and the farthest she’d ever been from home.

The dim, quiet Forest was nothing short of displeasant. The feeling of the surprisingly warm fog was.. Strange. Unfortunately, her "prayers" and wishes didn't come true for her. She was forced to come into this pathetic forest.. the place where dozens of people had been forced to give up their lives to the unseen Monster...Speaking of which, she almost could hear it then-Of course, she would've.. if the people who brought her here didn't stop bickering as they walked away, laughing at how weak she was....even though they had to all bring her there. Apparently, having more than 2-3 people makes you ohhh so toughhhh-Those cunts wouldn't make it far. While she won't be able to see them.. they'll soon get their designated fate.. Despite this though, One of the 4 that brought her there spoke up as they all turned their backs to her, already starting to make their way out of the Forest.
"And make sure you don't trip over any bones now! Maybe you'll find one of the missing friends of yours, haha!"
Their laugh echoed threw the once quiet, almost peaceful forest. It was horrific, it didn't even sound all so nice-They sounded like someone who swallowed an spark of embers, then decided to-. . . -sigh-.. Point being, they themselves were nothing of the pleasant. And soon they would be out of sight, if she had anything to say then-This was her last moment. Her last moments of what she hoped would've been in old age, or by someones side-Would be spent in this Forest.. Spent in the forest dozens of what she could only assume were lost souls that had to roam the woods from the Nagu. The stories were many, all different but all with something similar.. The Nagu was something of a snake and human, only with extraordinary strength, countless yet to be known powers, and few weakness. There has, but, been one common flaw with the Nagu. Of course, this option was never going to be available to her, but a heated blade forged by the metal inside of Jalanvaloss. Or something along those lines of a powerful steel, although.....Well, I won't bore you with anymore of these pointless details, you must be tired of waiting anyhoo-I've said all to much.
...Naga but yes I love this :>
"Hf..."
She stepped away from the barrier and slightly deeper into the woods, rubbing her arms and shivering against the bitter cold that seemed to permeate every inch of this dark forest, eyes wide.
"Quietly ...don't cry...don't cry don't cry don't cry-HF-"
a broken sob escaped her lips
. . .BRUH I'VE BEEN SPELLING IT WRONG THAT ENTIRE TIME-
Despite her 'sob', there wasn't but another sound but of herself.. and the quite rustling against her. Every now and then she could swear she saw something move in the corner of her eye, but considering the fact it was in both of her eyes-...It was easy to just assume it wasn't anything, Besides-When she tried looking to where she "thought" something was there, there'd be nothing but the fog-And the empty.. empty woods. Now, there was one good thing she could maybe get out of this!....Peace... The one thing the Naga was good at, was making sure the person was at peace... before what everyone in the villages assumed was strike. The fog around her began to seemingly swirl together behind her as she walked further into the forest-There was even a moment where she saw the fog infront of her get "Swatted" up in the air for a moment-Before the fog.. began to slowly shift itself into something along the lines of a Dragonfly.
It wasn't a perfect model, but the slight almost realistic buzzing from it; As it began to hover beside her, and sometimes even around her head-...It was almost calming in a way. Heh, She could most certainly think it was the Naga playing tricks on her mind, or perhaps it was simply trying to let her give her a chance to breath-Whatever the case was, at least she was by herself for now.. maybe she'll be lucky, and pass out before the Naga found her. Perhaps she could just sleep threw the pain, she almost could imagine what it'd feel like being in the grasp of that.. thing.. it was a confusing, tempting thought-But she'll soon get her answer. The answer however...might... shock her.. it depends really.
"Ah-"
She looked up at it, smiling a little even as the tears kept pouring down-she sniffled, scrubbing her eyes with the back of her hands
"That doesn't-really make me feel better...i-it's nice though-......maybe.....m-maybe it'll be f-friendly.....? M-Maybe-maybe it's actually a very nice creature! That-no one has ever-come back from oh gods-"
She sobbed, burying her face in her hands as she came to a stop in the middle of a small clearing.
"I-I'm pathetic-useless-useless Penny!!"
.. That small "FogFly", (Look anything made in the god I'll have "Fog" in the start of it. TvT), slowly brought itself infront of her face.. of course it then suddenly, -poof-.....Disappeared. She was then completely alone, she didn't even have that little "friend" anymore, though.. She did know this, The Naga.. Was close... How did she know this?
Easy, I'll explain. The quiet noise of.. what seemed like something being dragged across the dew-covered grass was nearby. It sounded at first, behind her-Before it started to slowly swirl all around her. Then, there was the gentle sound of...what sounded like.. humming..?... It was a low-tone hum, at first-She couldn't quite describe what sort of tune was it-But soon.. it almost sounded close to a tribal-ish song, but it was quite.. upbeat to say the least. But the fact alone she was most assumingly hearing the song of the Naga.. maybe a song it made itself-After all, There have been stories of the Naga using its own tools to.. "eliminate", it's prey-, Which she now was.. Of course, it was merely a matter of time before she would be face to face with the Monster. The very thing she had feared for so.. so long. Though, she did already have a pretty alright knowing of the Creature, after all-The stories don't go without every detail. Crimson red hair.. a scarred body of both the assumed battles it had to go threw, and the struggles of it's Prey. And one other thing...It's ocean.. like.. eyes.... The stories of what would happen if you stared deep-into it's gaze, were both horrific...and so.. so intriguing.. She "knew" she was already done for, but maybe now she'd finally be able to test her own little thoughts!
"H-HF-Oh-Oh no-"
She sniffled, looking up and around to see if she could catch any sign of it, eyes wide-
"H-Hello? You-.....y-you could just come out-i-if you want to kill me I-....I-I'm not very strong-o-or brave so y-you don't-y-you don't have to intimidate me-....it's probably a-a lot of effort to put into s-something so small-"
