Yes, although it's not limited to animals, it's also used for "static" people, the benefit being the person or animal will move it's head, flick it's tail, ect. It uses a small segment of a spline to place the character, and under the user attributes it defines which animation clips to play. A good example of this in FS22 is in the map Hof Bergmann

I can look into it down the road. If I can access the animation keys and get an idea of how exactly they work from an internal standpoint, it should be possible.

Now I'm not sure that they'd just wander around randomly, that kind of thing is usually done through a nav mash of some sort. It's still not out of the question, though. It would be something for down the road if I did it.

I have a couple other ideas I want to add first when I do get back around to that mod.

Yeah I don't see it used like a navmesh, think of a cow in a pen or milking parlor that can't walk around, but still moves head and neck.

I'll look into it when I get a chance. If I can play the basic animations on some type of loop, might not be that hard of a thing to add.
