At first the game was entertaining, but then it got repetitive really fast.

I just used the machinegun approach to the bow, clicking as fast as possible. After the mushroom got full armor it got to a point where it died in very few shots. I guess that was the end of the game, since there was no game over screen.

I liked the visuals, with the glowing bow and arrows and the huge enemy. The music and sound effects were OK.

Suggestions for improvement:

- Add a health bar to the enemy. Make it larger as the enemy gets stronger.

- Give the player something for trying to use the bow in charged mode. Like, armor penetration or visibly higher damage. Without a healthbar it's hard to show this to the player.

- Speaking of showing stuff to the player, make it more obvious when a hit connected and when it got deflected. Probably would be good to add some visual sparks or particles.

- Make the enemy do other moves as it grows stronger. Only throwing one rock becomes less threatening as the game goes on.

- Add a timer and give points to the player depending on how fast they defeated the fungus. You could even send this scores to a leaderboard.

Thanks! We had a lot more plans for this jam but ran out of time since we both got caught up in work. We had plans to add varying animations/attacks for the Giant as well as smaller mobs that made it more difficult. I also planned to add a health bar for the Giant and some more variability as well as add a load of visuals to enhance the environment. Thank you for the feedback and I will get them added to our list if they aren't already on it! It ultimately came down to us rushing to get done whatever we could in the last 2-3 days (while camping). I'm just glad we were able to get something submitted!
