I wanted to add some more instructions and feedback when you run out of money but ran out of time. Thanks for playing though!

I'm going to print out a picture of this bat just so I can shoot some more arrows at it. That thing was the most frustrating NPC I've encountered in a while! Great game, had a Daggerfall vibe that I loved and the music was great. My one improvement would to be stretch out the curve for enemy spawn. It starts out very easy and within the first minute becomes virtually impossible to survive. It'd be neat to lengthen it out and be able to enjoy it some more
Great job! I had fun with it. The only part I really struggled with was the UI. The UI scaled in a way that a lot of the UI elements overlapped (Title was over the text, money details was over the final part of the path so I couldn't see who made it through). I really liked the complexity of the UI though and the systems for hiring units.
Great visuals! I had a really hard time with the speed of the objects falling as it was very difficult to determine what was what before it was already at the level of the basket. I think zooming out a little or slowing the fall speed would help a lot. Other than that, some visuals to show controls would be useful as well, or some additional keybindings. I defaulted to WASD until I realized it was the arrow keys being used. Good job overall!
I loved the theme and would love to team up on a project sometime! The visuals are awesome, sounds are perfect. The only issue I had was really getting into and understanding the game but I have always had a hard time with more text based games. I think the systems involved would be awesome in a game like Mount and Blade for castle management.
That's close to where I was planning to go with it. I was considering adding some NPC's that you could interact with and do various things for. Something like the quartermaster needs new archer recruits, get a certain amount of points by shooting an archery target. Multiplayer also crossed my mind for a short time.
I'm certainly open to suggestions! This was my first "launched" game and I mainly did it to showcase what I knew for VR development.
Thanks! We had a lot more plans for this jam but ran out of time since we both got caught up in work. We had plans to add varying animations/attacks for the Giant as well as smaller mobs that made it more difficult. I also planned to add a health bar for the Giant and some more variability as well as add a load of visuals to enhance the environment. Thank you for the feedback and I will get them added to our list if they aren't already on it! It ultimately came down to us rushing to get done whatever we could in the last 2-3 days (while camping). I'm just glad we were able to get something submitted!
Good job submitting a project! It looks good and I definitely understand being a solo dev! I struggle with modeling and graphics and thankfully found a friend who is able to do it well. Keep connecting with people and make sure to find people who can do what you struggle with and you will be making awesome games in no time!
The mechanics were solid. I think the only thing that threw me off was the short distance of the bullets. I felt like I had to get pretty close before I could actually shoot the enemy. Good job!
