I wanted to add some more instructions and feedback when you run out of money but ran out of time. Thanks for playing though!

Great job! Felt good and I was able to understand upgrading/recruiting pretty easily. I'm not sure I fully understand what the purpose is for upgrading but I'm sure there's a reason. Lots of stuff for a 1 week jam though!

Great job! Loved seeing the different control options

Love it! It has a similar vibe to a mushroom game I submitted to last years!

Great job! The size changing mechanic was definitely a nice change!

Great job! The size changing mechanic was definitely a nice change!

The energy mechanic makes this game much more difficult that one is used to. Nice change!

Pretty fun! The intensity has a good curve  and I almost beat the boss!

Great game with a lot of scope to get done in 10 days. Good job!

Great game! I made it through a few rounds before dying. I wasn't able to figure out how the crystals work though

I always love seeing other people making VR games but am always hesitant to do so myself for game jams since I know a lot of people won't be able to or put in the effort to play them. Keep up the good work!

Loved the visuals and level design! The game was smooth and appealing

Nice! I will have to test that out and see if I can reproduce it! I'm surprised you were able to get it that tall! I'm also not a big fan of the zoom but we were having a hard time finding a good way to go about it. We were trying to keep the keybindings to a minimum

Loved the visuals! I also seemed to be invincible. At one point I just stopped moving and had a pile of enemies on me but was still alive. Overall great job!

I like the art style, I fell in the water more than I would like to admit

I loved the visuals. The particle effects were nice and the scene was pretty. It took a little while for me to realize there was a door but once I figured that out the rest was pretty self-explanatory

So far this is the game that has kept me captured for the longest. I got 2 or 3 towers going and then saw a bridge in water and ended up getting stuck. The puzzle mechanics were great!

I got an error when I first downloaded it. Make sure to go to the actual file location to run the executable. Got some good jump scares out of it. Visuals are good and I like the interactive instructions you find laying around. Good job

I'm going to print out a picture of this bat just so I can shoot some more arrows at it. That thing was the most frustrating NPC I've encountered in a while! Great game, had a Daggerfall vibe that I loved and the music was great. My one improvement would to be stretch out the curve for enemy spawn. It starts out very easy and within the first minute becomes virtually impossible to survive. It'd be neat to lengthen it out and be able to enjoy it some more

This was a fun game! All of the carts got stuck besides mine on the second playthrough but otherwise it was solid! The movement was nice and smooth and the controls made sense.

here is mine! https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-jam-2024/rate/2750435

Great play on words! You also made the game pace really match with the theme of the game as well. This is definitely a game I could play a few times. Good job!

Great job! I had fun with it. The only part I really struggled with was the UI. The UI scaled in a way that a lot of the UI elements overlapped (Title was over the text,  money details was over the final part of the path so I couldn't see who made it through). I really liked the complexity of the UI though and the systems for hiring units.

Great visuals! I had a really hard time with the speed of the objects falling as it was very difficult to determine what was what before it was already at the level of the basket. I think zooming out a little or slowing the fall speed would help a lot. Other than that, some visuals to show controls would be useful as well, or some additional keybindings. I defaulted to WASD until I realized it was the arrow keys being used. Good job overall!

I loved the theme and would love to team up on a project sometime! The visuals are awesome, sounds are perfect. The only issue I had was really getting into and understanding the game but I have always had a hard time with more text based games. I think the systems involved would be awesome in a game like Mount and Blade for castle management.

That's close to where I was planning to go with it. I was considering adding some NPC's that you could interact with and do various things for. Something like the quartermaster needs new archer recruits, get a certain amount of points by shooting an archery target. Multiplayer also crossed my mind for a short time.

I'm certainly open to suggestions! This was my first "launched" game and I mainly did it to showcase what I knew for VR development.

Thanks! I’ve been contemplating picking this project back up and adding more content.

The assets are a combination of packs from Synty Studios

Great game! I'm impressed with how solid everything feels given the time allowed

Thanks for playing! I’m surprising you’re the only one to find that loop so far! I have a fix staged for it right now but am working on further testing.

I liked the aesthetics and classic arcade feel! I also really liked the UI style. Impressive for 10 days work!

Thanks! We had a lot more plans for this jam but ran out of time since we both got caught up in work. We had plans to add varying animations/attacks for the Giant as well as smaller mobs that made it more difficult. I also planned to add a health bar for the Giant and some more variability as well as add a load of visuals to enhance the environment. Thank you for the feedback and I will get them added to our list if they aren't already on it! It ultimately came down to us rushing to get done whatever we could in the last 2-3 days (while camping). I'm just glad we were able to get something submitted!

First tower defense style game I've played in this jam! The mechanics were put together well. The only issue I had was that it was hard to see some of the units being placed, especially the smaller ones. Good job!

Good job submitting a project! It looks good and I definitely understand being a solo dev! I struggle with modeling and graphics and thankfully found a friend who is able to do it well. Keep connecting with people and make sure to find people who can do what you struggle with and you will be making awesome games in no time!

The mechanics were solid. I think the only thing that threw me off was the short distance of the bullets. I felt like I had to get pretty close before I could actually shoot the enemy. Good job!

Good game with potential! I liked the story and really enjoyed the visuals of hell. You could look into setting it so when a dialogue has been read that it no longer appears. I ran into the one by the well probably 15+ times. Good job and keep it up!

Good game! The controls were a bit sensitive for me but that may have been your intent as it just makes it more challenging! I enjoyed the music and graphics

Great twist! I enjoyed playing this game

Great game with nice graphics. As mentioned in other comments some feedback in the gun would be nice as well as an in game menu to be able to restart or exit. Overall great job!

Great game! Everything was very smooth and polished. Definitely has potential to grow!

Absolutely love the environment you set up in this game. I could spent hours just wandering around, listening to the music!
