Nice shooter game. I just don't see how it fits with the jam theme.

I liked the art assets used.

Suggestions for improvement:

- Add more weapon drops. I got stuck with the bow after a while and couldn't use any other weapon.

- Explain what the pickups do. I only figured out one that made arrows hit multiple enemies.

- There seemed to be some performance hiccups afer the game was running for a few minutes with a mob of about 20 enemies on screen. Try running the profiler to check what's going on.  I'm guessing it's the projectiles getting Instantiated/Destroyed triggering the garbage collector.

- Add a goal. Why are we shooting these creatures? What are we trying to achieve as player?

About the goal and the theme:

  • The goal was just survive as long as possible without dying, I was aiming for a more arcade-like gameplay
  • I also don’t see 100% how it fits with the theme. I was having a lot of trouble when coming up with an idea and I decided to pick one that was generated on the live that started the jam and the most interesting one was this one
