hahaha, so the title wasn't coincidentally simlar to some other game ;-)
pretty cool concept and quite challenging - but engaging. you really create this feeling of crawling up with your hands with broken legs or watever. the jump is super awesome!
i kept wondering why you didn't use grip or trigger button to activate the grip - that would surely give more control and lead to less involuntary deaths. but then I remembered the title of the game again, soo... yeah.

I’m glad you got the reference :D This was my first time attempting a game like this and I’m still confused if the difficulty was okay or not due to mixed feedback lol You have to balance frustration and reward, something I could’ve done a better job at I guess.

naa, don't worry. you knew it was unforgiving and you broadcasted it loud and proud. there's definetely an audience for that.
i think the key to difficult games is that the game never feels random in it's outcome but rather the player knows that they messed up. so rather than making the game easier by some random amount make it so, that it is unforgiving but always straight forward and understandable.

which is super hard in VR, now that I think about it ;-) too much degrees of freedom

That definitely makese sense. I guess making the physics a bit more consistent would also help in that regard.
