The animation quality here is fucking great. I would recommend checking this out to anyone interested in high quality 3d animations and who's down for a small mechanical preview of what will hopefully become a much bigger game. It is worth the $5.
This is way beyond what I was expecting to find. You guys are putting in work and I love the main character design and movement. This looks amazing and has so much promise.
Going to provide feedback from my alpha experience that would've made my time with it a little more intuitive - (Though i get that it's still an alpha and you're probably just yet to set these things up so this might be totally useless info, but just in case it could help).
As a beat'em up noob, and someone who didn't check the control screen, I didn't realize that I could alter my attacks with ctrl for ages. Provided I didn't just miss some mention of it earlier, a small heads up that ctrl alters attacks at the start of a level would've made me so much less confused about how to deal with the little bugs.
I also didn't understand that I was successfully gathering animations while playing. I misinterpretted and thought I needed to beat all the waves in a level to actually unlock the
animations after the failure message said I'd lose drops and items, and thought that the bestiary/codex would hold the animations gallery. So I played trying to reach the end of the many wave levels
and ended up failing a lot.
It was only after I got out to the main menu again that I saw the gallery there and that it had saved what I'd collected. So, some sort of change in wording to say that collecting the animations doesn't reset after a failed run would be good? Though again I might've just missed something.
Finally, Is there actually a victory point in the 40+ wave levels? Or is it never-ending? It would be great to know that too.
This was seriously awesome though. I played to level 18 and made it to something like wave 45~ before exhaustion. The combat and enemy attacks hold up for what it has at the moment and it really was a lot of fun to try.
Also if you do read this, I'd love to know how many enemies/stages/battles you are aiming to have for the completed game? And are you going to put a story and voicing for it? If so, I hope you find some amazing voice talent worthy of it and regardless, I hope it gets huge!
Thanks for this gaming experience!
