You're not playing the latest version or you haven't started a new a save, do either and your issue should be resolved.

The latest version is 0.067

Edit: okay on re reading again you must be playing the latest version...

Try deleting everything in the IslanDeity save folder.

I'm not sure why this is occurring.

where is the save folder located? im having trouble finding it

Appdata/LocalLow/Forlorn Faun/Islandeity

You can get to appdata by searching.

%appdata% in the explorer search bar.

still getting the same problem (now on .072) with the save location clear, i also tried opening it in vulkan, directx, and opengl, open gl is just crashing as soon as the airplane is complete

Sorry man, I'm really unsure why this is occurring.

I could give a save file after the plane to maybe to counteract this issue but as far anyone else. You're only person who has noted a bug like this.

The text file of, "I should build somewhere to sleep" shouldn't even exist anymore...

I'll relook through the code.
