Interesting concept! I can see how this mechanic can get super mind-bending when all six sides are different chess pieces.
Thanks for the comment! Since there are six kinds of chess pieces, it would make total sense for a die to have all six of them, but I have no idea how to account for diagonal movement. You can't roll a die diagonally after all...
