A fun, fast paced, and explosive game! Nicely done! I though being able to customize your character was pretty cool!

While everything seemed to work, mechanically, there is a lot of unexpected delays in events that threw me off quite a bit, especially in the beginning.

The simplest example is when near an exploding potion, characters take damage before the explosion animation occurs. When it’s my character taking damage a hair before the animation of the explosion, it feels like I’m being hurt for no reason. Similarly, the end of a match occurs when the last living player is killed. The potions look like they are just about to go off, but, as the damage is done just before the explosion, the match just ends without the potion explosions.

Potion explosions aren’t the only time this delay got me feeling off… Walking into potions is supposed to kick them, but there were times I was walking up to a potion with the intent to grab… and I’m pressing the grab button, but my character kicks the potion. I tried this multiple times. I eventually realized I needed to stand a little back from the potion to be able to pick it up. Even still, there was a noticeable delay between pressing the button to grab and the game actually grabbing a potion.

I think, with these timing issues ironed out, this game would have been even more exciting!

All of that said, I was playing the game in the FireFox browser (which, I’m hearing, may cause some strange issues? Not sure, to be honest).

Over all, this was a really nice game!! Great work!

Thanks for playing!! I checked out the stream recording of your play-through, I think you might have accidentally missed a crucial mechanic of the game 😅. You can press Spacebar to lay down potions (bombs) yourself to then kick and throw at the enemy bots. We took inspiration from Bomberman which has a similar mechanic and gameplay. Though with our game when you lay a potion down 3 others spawn in the other quadrants of the map in a symmetrical pattern, which is why you might have thought they were spawning on their own. We actually programmed the bots to drop bombs themselves so that's where they were coming from.

Hopefully, this clears up any confusion, and thanks for the awesome feedback! We plan on making updates to the game in the future so this was definitely helpful!
