Wunderbar

I really enjoyed my time with this. The twinstick shooter genre is very popular, but you made several smart decisions to stand out from that crowd. Well done! The 2.5 perspective made me apprehensive at first, but it works really well and I never felt like my shots missed unfairly. The theme is also really unique. But it's also my one gripe - I'm not musically inclined, so a lot of the notation and translation to gameplay was lost on me. I mostly remembered the enemy types, but the attack effects combined with modifiers were completely lost on me. It might have been nice to have a small reminder text pop up in addition to the name like "-speed, +dmg" or "split attack" when changing attacks/modifiers. But that's really just a nitpick. The game is straight-forward enough that the player can adapt to changes with minimal difficulty.

That aside, the controls feel good, the length is perfect, and the scope is right on the money for a jam game. Well done, team. Easily one of the top games I've played so far.

Keep making cool games!

Danke! Very happy most of what we intended with design worked out for you. We tried super hard to make sure the game could still be understood by those that aren't so musically inclined; we originally intended for weapons and modifier effects to be "discovered" and learned by the player from experimentation and curiosity, that's definitely something we can play around with and modify in the future (But I also agree brief text popups were probably a good idea). Thanks so much for playing and the great feedback!
