The game is a fun minigolf. However, I finish the run without properly understanding how to activate the powerups and what they did (what is the steer one supposed to do?)

The power-ups activate whenever your dice shows the value that was visible on the card. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to explain everything in detail but the steer power-up let's you influence your dices trajectory with your cursor or analog stick if you play with a controller.
