It's just my thoughts like what the hell? I thought gil is a teacher so he is like smart guy...but why he didn't know that having an affair with a married man is not something you should do... Just I swear if that happens, when gil and Edgar had sex with each other I'll never gonna read it anymore, I'm just gonna focus on my upcoming VN and my story has gonna have a lot more sense that even the side characters know how to distance themselves when the others already in relationships... Gil strikes me as the type of person who wouldn't joke about that if it wasn't true. the way he immediately takes it back because he wants to be seen as a sex expert, and how he reacts when Lars teases him about it later seems consistent with that to me. i'm going to assume it's true until if/when it is proven otherwise. and even if the virgin thing is somehow a nonsensical red herring joke, i highly doubt he would've slept with Edgar because he was so determined to not be a homewrecker
ngl but I half blame Edgar for this, he has a FAMILY already but still acts like he is single, he even jokes abt ''what if his wife agrees to this'' and I like wtf? And Gil was not innocent either, but he kept it professional at the start and somehow failed at the end LOL. If Gil has an affair with Edgar and now he tries to have a relationship with Edgar's SON, aka Walter, that's the NEXT LEVEL of disgusting (ABSOLUTELY JAILLL). During the episode Gil always rejects Edgar's advances and/or believes it's just a joke when Edgar plays it off as one. while highly unlikely that Phylice would agree to it, open marriages and polyamory exist. As much as Gil kinda wanted to, I'm convinced he never actually did anything with Edgar (because Gil admits to still being a virgin on his day 7), so I think trying to have a relationship with Walter is fine because he and Edgar were never together, just friends and Edgar was flirty. Gil even implies Edgar is like that with everyone, though there are hints Edgar is actually serious when flirting with Gil. that doesn't mean Gil ever did anything with him.
