What I liked
- The theme was clearly implemented
- I liked the concept of using the combination as firing codes.
- You included instructionsl which I think is necessary with any kind of puzzle mechanics that aren't obvious to the player.
- You took a classic game and gave it a twist. I feel like there's a sizeable number of people who try to make something completely unique, which is fine. However, there's value in taking an old or favorite game and making it how you'd like to play it.
Suggestions/Feedback
- Despite having instructions, I think an interactive tutorial would be helpful if you moved forward with this after the jam. Just to ease the learning core without all the pressure first.
- I feel like it was intentional for the sake of keeping pressure on the player, but checking your launch sequences wouldn't pause the game. I think it would be helpful to the player to have them visible all the time like a sidebar UI. It's something I would consider, but also take with a grain of salt.
Overall, its a fun game to play once you get the hang of it. Congrats to both you on your work!
