I can tell a ton of work has been put into this! The menu, the buttons and the movement feel really good. I love the music also. Here's some more feedback:

  • It's kind of tricky to place blocks with a moving camera, maybe you could try making levels with a fixed camera, or alleviating it some other way like slow-mo or freezing?
  • It would help to make the player always face the same direction when spawning, it kind of distracts the player when it doesn't start out the same the second time
  • The difficulty curve is pretty rough, but that's to be expected from a jam game and you even mentioned it in the description

For a second game ever this is really awesome. Fantastic work! Großartig!

Thanks for the great feedback! I did try and polish it a lot, that's what I found out is what I really love about making games!

As for the difficulty curve, it's a roller coaster! Level 3 is insane and then it goes downhill to relatively easy and back up again towards hellish proportions in the last level! Even got feedback that I made a really good rage game, which was not intended :P In the flow of making a game in a short time it's difficult to measure the difficulty.

The spawning is a simple fix probably, I was too lazy to fix it and should have prioritized it more.

I didn't even think about the camera moving too much. First time using cinemachine and I was like "Yep, don't have to do anything and it looks smooth" And slow motion is frying my brain right now, that would've fit so well.

Danke!
