I really like this game! Some of the sentences coldn't be translated... Great game! Enjoyed it!

Developer

I'm glad you still liked it with the missing translations!

The translation issue as far as I know happens when on a German system, it's because I didn't know Unity picks the language based on the OS and I had German translations enabled, but not filled in/filled in wrongly ! I hope it was still okay, because most of the instructions, input etc would've been displayed in those sentences.

Submitted

It's not a problem at all... Most games I usually play in their original language (which is english) and the game is self-explanatory :D

Cool platformer!

  • When the AI just decides not to jump, it's incredibly infuriating
  • The game is a creative use of the theme
  • In the earlier levels the game sometimes spawns you looking the wrong direction, depending on which direction you die in. Can be annoying

The overall game is fun and creative, good work!

Developer

Humans aren't perfect. Same applies to AI! Imagine being the robot, but the human doesn't jump!

The spawning that way is happening, because you died that way and I was too lazy to fix it :)

Thanks for the feedback!!

Very creative, fun little experience.Controls is very bad,but i think it on purpose(?)

Be better to make cursor match box size,so you can more easily see where you add it too.Just add circle or cross in center and make size bigger)

This is my only complain.Good job!

Developer

Appreciate the feedback!

I like the idea of you helping the ai for a change instead of the ai helping you.

I really like the concept but it is too difficult. Upon death it shouldn't stay flipped, it adds to the frustration. I am going to continue playing, because I am curious about the story.

The story for some reason reminds me of my own game, even tho they have nothing in common so far, (except an ai talking to the human player).

Also I think I jumped out of bounds of the killbox, I was falling continuously lol

Developer

First of all! Congrats on making it out of bounds, that's an unofficial achievement! Killbox sounds like an interesting concept, I've just used trigger areas and I guess the one you jumped over was too small or missing? :D I already got the feedback that I made an excellent rage game, unintentionally. Maybe that is my specialty as a game dev?

Very beautiful game with amazing music! Everything is smooth and feels polished. But is gets very difficult at some places. I am currently stuck at the final level I think. Will try again because the world is so cool and I want to know what happens at the end.

Developer

Thanks! I believe you can do it!

Submitted

This is really good! I like how juicy it feels and the mechanics are really solid, definitely something that could be expanded upon! My only criticism is that it seems to have a bit of a difficulty spike really early on, but that's expected for a jam game. Really good, hope you continue development!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I made that level really early on, even struggled with it myself! I'm about to play your submission and have to say the main menu on my 2nd monitor is currently killing me, because it looks so damn good!

Submitted

really good one!

Amazing game !

I would love if the background clouds had a parallax effect, i loved the gameplay and the art choices :)

Developer

I totally agree, a slight parallax effect would be great as well. The background was a Skybox texture from the asset store though and I did not have the time and priority to look into how to add parallax to that.

Thanks for the feedback!

Well done :)

Developer

Thank you!

Hope you'll play mine too

Developer

Of course :)

I can tell a ton of work has been put into this! The menu, the buttons and the movement feel really good. I love the music also. Here's some more feedback:

  • It's kind of tricky to place blocks with a moving camera, maybe you could try making levels with a fixed camera, or alleviating it some other way like slow-mo or freezing?
  • It would help to make the player always face the same direction when spawning, it kind of distracts the player when it doesn't start out the same the second time
  • The difficulty curve is pretty rough, but that's to be expected from a jam game and you even mentioned it in the description

For a second game ever this is really awesome. Fantastic work! Großartig!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the great feedback! I did try and polish it a lot, that's what I found out is what I really love about making games!

As for the difficulty curve, it's a roller coaster! Level 3 is insane and then it goes downhill to relatively easy and back up again towards hellish proportions in the last level! Even got feedback that I made a really good rage game, which was not intended :P In the flow of making a game in a short time it's difficult to measure the difficulty.

The spawning is a simple fix probably, I was too lazy to fix it and should have prioritized it more.

I didn't even think about the camera moving too much. First time using cinemachine and I was like "Yep, don't have to do anything and it looks smooth" And slow motion is frying my brain right now, that would've fit so well.

Danke!

Great game in every way

It's just that my reaction is slow and I'm stuck in the third level

Developer (1 edit)

Nooo, it's all about the timing and not too much of reaction time, and yes I made that way too hard and didn't realize it. The next levels, besides the last one are much easier again. I'm definitely adding a level select for the next game! And thanks for the feedback!

Edit: Idk if you want to try again, but I've made a video about how I play level 3 ^^ Maybe it helps:

The visuals are really nice. Cool game. A bit hard sometimes but had fun

Developer

Oh, did you finish it? I guess not a lot of people the see the end which is sad :(

Submitted

Great game, the blocks were really hard to place, and i got stuck on the 2nd or 3rd level, also the player goes in a random direction when spawning, other than that great game!

Developer

Probably on level 3 :D It gets easier after that until gets hard again towards the end :D Thanks

Wow. That’s a really nice game

Very Unique game, was very fun to play.. it had the WOWIE aspect that's for sure.
The AI is really cool actually does what you want it to do, jumps at the right time and all!

Really cool game! It’s a bit hard but maybe I’m not the most epic gamer

Developer(+1)
