When you hit the stop button, the player will rewind the current video to the beginning. If you're playing a VR video, the background covers your entire field of view. Is it possible the video you're playing just has a white background at the beginning? If you find the UI hard to read, you can make the menu more opaque by clicking on the eye icon at the top left of the seek bar menu. Right now, your menu is set to be transparent.
