If it's crashing at startup, it might be due to the network SMB device scan. Try disabling your wifi on your Quest headset, then launch HereSphere. If it doesn't crash, go to the user settings, and disable the "Network SMB Device Scan" toggle. You can then re-enable your wifi.

The "save backup" button in the HereSphere user settings saves it to the root folder of your Quest local storage under the folder "HereSphere". Not sure how having multiple accounts on the same headset affects this, as I haven't tested with multiple accounts.

The latest updates should support _LRF (or _SBSF) file naming convention to specify full side-by-side, which will halve the aspect ratio.

I'll add the option to switch the date format to the to-do list.

The current passthrough method doesn't work well with black, since it relies on an having actual color vector to work with. I'll add more passthrough options in the future that can deal with this use case.

I'll add it to the to-do list for the big UI update.

I'm not too sure. It's possible that your DLNA server is transcoding it to a different format that the player can play, or there might be something with the SMB setup that's preventing the player from accessing that specific video. Do you have the video specs (resolution, video and audio codec, bit depth, bit rate)?

Hi, are you using bluetooth headphones? Meta's recent OS updates have caused some issues with bluetooth audio, so I'd recommend switching to wired headphones, or ones that use wifi instead.

It'll be updated to the correct controller model in the big UX update later this year.

Just install the new apk without uninstalling the app. You can also backup your saved data by going to the user settings and pressing the "save backup" button, and then when you want to load the data, press the "load backup" button.

I think they should be shown at the top of the web view. Just click on the name of the list to show the videos in that list. You can scroll the list names by using the thumbstick up/down.

It might depend on the website, but you can try clicking on the cogwheel icon in the upper left corner of the web browser and disable the desktop user agent. Sometimes that'll work, and then you can re-enable the desktop user agent once you've gotten through. Other than that, it's up to the site whether they set up cloudflare to block embedded web browsers.

It should be linked to your itch.io account. When you're on the HereSphere itch.io page, there should be a banner that appears at the top of the page that'll direct you to your download links. You can also email support@heresphere.com from the email you used to purchase the app from itch.io if you want to switch to the Meta Store version, instead.

Yes, it's a planned feature. Currently finishing up Apple Vision Pro port, and will work on the UE5 update after that.

You could try reducing the menu distance so it's closer to you. In the user settings, under the menu group, adjust the menu distance setting. There are also key bindings to adjust the flat screen video distance (default key binding is moving thumbstick up/down when the menu is hidden) in case you have trouble interacting with the menu when the video is overlapping it.

In the advanced video settings, at the bottom right corner, you can set the environment background to passthrough, and the mask type to chromakey or alpha. Clicking the cogwheel icon next to the mask option will allow you to adjust the chromakey or alpha settings.

Hmmm, not sure, it works when testing my Mac. You could try different streaming methods other than SMB. The latest version of HereSphere supports DLNA, so you could install plex media server (or any other DLNA streaming app) and access your videos through their DLNA service. Or you could setup XBVR to stream videos.

HS just sends playback events to Connect & Control with your POVR username. It's up to Connect & Control to pass that along to the FeelConnect app, and have it control your device. If it's not working, POVR support forums or Connect & Control would be the best place to ask for help.

I think you should be linking using feelconnect not the browser.

You shouldn't connect the Keon to HereSphere. The FeelConnect app is responsible for controlling the device when using cmscripts or streamed scripts from povr.

CMScripts don't actually have script data. It's just a token to use Command & Control's services. I think you'll need to use the Feel Connect app, but I'm not sure if they've added support for HereSphere with bluetooth devices. The Handy works, but that uses wifi instead of bluetooth (and the Feel Connect app isn't needed). Maybe ask in the POVR forums if they've added support for it.

Thumbnails aren't supported yet, but it'll be added in the future.

Not sure, I tested on my headset and handy and it connects fine for me. Maybe try restarting your router and handy by power cycling it. Change the connection key again. Maybe try clearing the key from HereSphere, restart the app, then input the connection key in (though that shouldn't matter, but who knows).

The app currently requires touch controllers. Hand tracking will be added in the future.

Hi, to adjust the zoom speed, you first need to go to the keybindings menu (bottom of the left side panel). Then click on motion controller at the top, scroll down about 2/3 down the list, and find the "Increment Origin Forward" keybindings. Change the scale value on those keybindings to change the zoom speed.

For the crash issue, which version of HereSphere are you using? Can you click on "User Guide" at the bottom of the left side panel, then about, to see the version number. I think the crash issue should be fixed on v0.11.0. Let me know if it still crashes on the newest version.

In your web browser, visit the HereSphere app lab page: https://www.meta.com/experiences/6308914842477595/

Make sure you're logged into your meta account. Scroll down to version, click on the version number, and switch to the RC channel. This channel is used to test updates before they're released to the production channel. The app should update itself on your headset after a couple minutes.

Would recommend setting to 120hz, because it's a multiple of 60. The default refresh rate for quest 3 is 90hz, which has noticeable microstutters compared to 120hz.

Go to the advanced video settings. Near the top left, you can change the refresh rate to 120hz. Near the bottom left, you can set the sharpening value. For the autofocus accuracy, you'll need to click on "User Settings" at the bottom of the left side panel. The autofocus accuracy setting is near the middle of that menu.

It's up to you whether you want to enable motion (it automatically zooms the video based on your head movement and the motion distance value, a lower motion distance makes it zoom faster).

If you're on the latest update v0.11.0, I'd recommend settings the resolution to 1.5 or lower to maintain 120fps (resolution setting is in the upper left corner of the advanced video settings).

Can you specify what you mean by "rotation tag"? Are these tags like meta data embedded in the video container itself? I don't think the player reads this data. Or are you referring to the orientation settings in the HereSphere advanced video settings (which seems to work fine when I test it).

With Meta rolling out different Quest OS updates to users, it's difficult to recommend one setting that'll work well. I'd recommend bumping up the refresh rate in the advanced video settings to 120hz, though. Adjust the sharpen setting to your liking, then maybe increase the resolution if you're able to maintain 120fps.

Near the top left of the SMB menu, there's a star icon. Click on it, then add a bookmark. It'll save your credentials, so you can click on the bookmark to load the SMB share without the need to re-enter your credentials.

Yes, all the Quest headsets are supported (Quest 1 is limited to v0.9).

I don't think vertical/horizontal position adjustments are currently possible for flat screen view, but it'll be included in the big UX update.

The Steam version doesn't have native bluetooth support. You can use the HereSphere timestamp server with apps like ScriptPlayer and Intiface to connect with bluetooth, though.

The standalone version currently doesn't support pico4. You can use the PC version on Steam if you want to stream the PCVR app to your pico headset, though.

Try hovering over each input box, and press the A or X button to reset back to default. Then resave the default preset.

Sorry, ETA is gonna be really unreliable right now. Lots of unknowns.

Right now, the player only looks for mp4, webm, or m3u8 extensions. I'll test if m4v and mov are streamable containers. I don't think mkv is a streamable container.

Sorry, still not much development progress on Pico 4 support yet. Stuck on implementing DLNA and apple vision pro at the moment.

You could try going to the advanced video settings and lowering the resolution to see if it helps.

Thanks for the feature request. Script modification tools are on the to-do list.

That's great news! Thanks for the info.
