Here is my honest criticism, I hope I do not come across as mean!
It is not bad, but I am perhaps not the best to judge for chiptune.
Some notes, like the one at 0:52 feel kinda out of place. At times I have trouble to feel the calmth and peace I would expect of a sunset-town, but it might be partly due to the chippy- and choppy-ness of chiptune that I am not used to! Around 1:13 and 1:27 I could feel the peace flow in a bit, I liked that. At 2:03, because there was no 'chippy' melody and just soothing major chords, I also felt that delight!
I ended up listening to it 3 times. The first time I did not feel any sunset-feeling, but I don't want to be too harsh as chiptune might both be challenging in this aspect, and I am not used to it. The third time especially, I did sense the sunsetty feeling! Though I can't say I am a fan, I think you did a great job, so well done!
