In lieu of what I usually do, this week I will teach you a pickup line in German:

Du bist rattenscharf.

It roughly translates as "you're as hot as a rat" (ratte - rat, scharf - spicy or hot), which as I'm sure I don't have to explain isn't the greatest thing to say to someone in English, however it's perfectly fine in German.

I will bear this in mind when I next visit Germany, and will say it to the most attractive policewoman I can find. What's the worst that could happen?

Reminds me of a compliment in Japanese, actually: "White as the belly of a fish". Um... thanks..?

Was that sarcasm, or do you just have a thing for policewomen? Either way, however, I agree.

Who doesn't love a woman in uniform? Or out of uniform for that matter.

In short, women are awesome.

Women are indeed quite awesome.

Please wait with that until you've finished CK? We really don't want it to take too long of a hiatus!   😂

They have internet in prison, right?

But I'm pretty certain they're not gonna let you have your PC there!  :P

Mh, a typical problem with literal translations. "scharf" doesn't only mean spicy/hot - it has about 20 different meanings. One of them is "horny". This way the pickup line means something like "You are/look as horny as a rat". This is the result of poor hygienic conditions in the dark ages which resulted in enormous amounts of rats - why people thought they have  to woohoo all the time.

True... It can also literally mean sharp, as in 'you are as sharp as a rat' (iow: cunning and smart)
