The only issue I picked up was that when you start dialogue with the computer repair character (particularly when he asks the player if they play LoL) some of the dialogue pop-up images are of the boss instead of the red guy (apologies, I'm bad at remembering names). However, the style and mechanics of your game are amazing! The fact that you made this all by yourself in such a short time frame is really impressive and commendable! The sprites are adorable and the movement is smooth. This is utterly inspiring. :)

That being said, however, in my personal opinion the narrative could use a lot of work. The writing is quite cliche and stereotypical, it is a bit cringe-worthy as it seems very try-hard and overly-exaggerated. The female narrative is borderline offensive. I appreciate and can see the type of humour you are trying to achieve but it is a bit over-done and a bit confusing. In this case, less is more. The ending is also extremely abrupt and there is no real conclusion to anything, there is a lot of loose ends. I recommend for next game jam you take on a separate narrative director to help you and you continue to specialize in coding and art which you are clearly absolutely fantastic at. :)

I hope my feedback is helpful. Overall, I am in awe of your mechanics and art!

Thanks so much! Yeah I couldn’t quite figure about that bug. It had something to with my node system and I had to leave it in the game unfortunately. I completely agree about it being offensive. That is fair feedback. I should have asked around for more perspective and opinions. As of now I updated the description with a warning. It’s a satire take on work culture.

There was an email system that was far more complex but I decided to scrap it for simplicity sake. The added complexity didn’t fit too well with the gameplay. Unfortunately the extra time spent on that led to interactions and and narrative elements that were not fully explored. Writing and narrative is definitely not my forte. I learnt that humor is quite a challenge in games due to its subjective nature. I appreciate your well written feedback! Thanks so much C_Cubed!
