Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for your lovely comment :))

Thank you so much for your helpful feedback! Lol we sincerely apologize for the crashing but glad you found a way around it! :)) i hope you find the jumpscare!

Hi thank you for your feedback! The game does crash sometimes unfortunately due to unity file corruption :( and in terms of the enemy, there is an enemy walking around but it is invisible so as to make the jump scare more effective, but we will definitely consider adding a visual enemy! The game definitely did not turn out how we wanted due to lack of time thanks to stage 6 loadshedding (in South Africa).

so happy that you liked it!

thank you very much :) happy you enjoyed it!

thank you very much! Im so glad you enjoyed it :)

Ofcourse! Im so glad you are interested in our game. :)

Hi!   :)   This is just a prototype for now!   :))

on their twitter page

The theme is Masquerade :))

This is amazing! Every single aspect of this game was so good, truly commendable :)) I could go on and on gushing about this game for way too long, i dont even know where to start! Thoroughly enjoyed playing this :))

This is so cool! I love it, great music and great concept, change up the visual style a smidge and you've got an insane game!

The art style is super cool and im keen to know what happened to Adrian's family! Its a pity that the game is so broken, its hard to jump onto surfaces without getting stuck and there are no enemies to watch out for, no dangers and no consequences. You cant lose. It wouldve made more sense to just have an end game menu/canvas after the first level to make the game look short but finished instead of openly incomplete.

However, you clearly have the basis for a really great game here, keep going and build on it! Id love to play it after its been fixed a bit. :))

I love the art style! The old-school retro vibe is really cool :)) I wish there was a tutorial cause i dont really understand what is happening and what im meant to do. Maybe some dialogue pop-ups to give the player hints would be ideal. Otherwise, i thought it was really cute and very impressive!

The music and art style is dope! I love it, super old-school :)) I accidentally broke the game though and jumped inside a wall and got stuck...oops :((

My feedback is that there is way too much writing on the controls menu/canvas, players wont typically have the attention span to read all that. Try to include that text as separate dialogue pop-ups in-game instead. Its easier to read short snippets than to read everything at once.

Otherwise, it was a really fun game, great concept and you are onto something really great here!

This was a really clever and sweet way to showcase your narrative skills :))

This is super cute, i love the music, the art style, and the entire concept. However, the game is way too easy, theres no need to fight enemies or anything, I can just run to the gate of heaven and i win. Also the final gate is buggy, i dont know if its just me but when i walk through it nothing happens and im still in the game and just continue to get hit by enemies. Otherwise it is a really good game considering the 72hr time limit and it can be improved nicely with extra time! :))

Lmao i LOVE this! This is such a fun game and the text made me laugh. The music is fitting and the art style is fun. I can easily get addicted to this. Only thing I wish was included was a score count so i can try and beat my previous scores.

I love the art style and the concept you are trying to achieve! However, the gameplay is very linear. It feels like you should be able to keep yourself busy with another aspect of the game while you are waiting for points to accumulate. It is rather impressive though for a 72hr jam!

The music is soo good! Makes the game really intense, i love it. The art style is also really cool. I would genuinely enjoy playing this game regularly if you made a couple fixes. For example, a narrative aspect would help as I dont understand what exactly Im doing, what am I protecting or attacking? There also doesnt seem to be any consequences for just leaving the spiders and sitting back to watch them attack. It also doesnt look like any of my hits are actually doing anything... That being said, some quick, easy fixes can make this game really really great :))

The art style and the music is amazing! I just wish there was a tutorial as I was extremely lost and confused... However, it is a beautiful game. Just WOW. :))

Thank you for your feedback! Due to the theme being "easier than in real life", we wanted it to be really hard to actually lose the game. Of course if we spent more time on the game we would love to take your requests into consideration.  :)

As we have never uploaded a game onto itch/game jam before, we were not sure whether we must upload the entire project or not and we went with better safe than sorry! Next time we will just submit the build.  :)

This is really funny! I love your art style and narrative, it is super cute! With more time you could really build up a great story with dialogue options and a more realistic story progression rather than an immediate "you lived happily ever after, the end" and the UI is problematic as the words go off canvas on the main menu.  But obviously given the short time frame you didn't have much time for a mind-blowing visual novel . However, it is really impressive that you managed to give these characters such clear and strong personalities with so few lines. You should definitely keep working on this game and build on it!

P.S. I like that your choice of date impacts the dialogue, it gives meaning and purpose to choosing a character. It also makes me want to replay the game 3 more times to see the different dialogue snip for each character.

Unfortunately the game does not work for me :(

Every time I pick up a cone everything glitches out and all the characters start appearing and disappearing at once and I cannot pickup anything because it keeps resetting. The dialogue also keeps switching up every split second. Super weird glitch. Sad I couldn't play your game!

This is a really cute and fun concept, obviously with more time it can be well refined. The art style is cute and I enjoy the minimalist vibe, its refreshing.  :)

My feedback is that I wish there was a better UI system. The words on the main menu are off canvas and I don't know if I finished the game or not as there are no pop-ups telling me what is happening. There is also no way of exiting the game properly.

I do not understand the scoring system, what do you mean by "dev score" ? Also, I see the score goes up constantly whether or not I clean the house and is completely unaffected by my actions. I walked around in a circle for a while and gained a pretty high score.

If these minor easy-fix issues could be solved then you have a lovely basis for a really great game!

The only issue I picked up was that when you start dialogue with the computer repair character (particularly when he asks the player if they play LoL) some of the dialogue pop-up images are of the boss instead of the red guy (apologies, I'm bad at remembering names). However, the style and mechanics of your game are amazing! The fact that you made this all by yourself in such a short time frame is really impressive and commendable! The sprites are adorable and the movement is smooth. This is utterly inspiring. :)

That being said, however, in my personal opinion the narrative could use a lot of work. The writing is quite cliche and stereotypical, it is a bit cringe-worthy as it seems very try-hard and overly-exaggerated. The female narrative is borderline offensive. I appreciate and can see the type of humour you are trying to achieve but it is a bit over-done and a bit confusing. In this case, less is more. The ending is also extremely abrupt and there is no real conclusion to anything, there is a lot of loose ends. I recommend for next game jam you take on a separate narrative director to help you and you continue to specialize in coding and art which you are clearly absolutely fantastic at. :)

I hope my feedback is helpful. Overall, I am in awe of your mechanics and art!

Thank you so much :) I am so glad that you enjoyed our game!

Thank you very much! :)

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback! If we decide to build on the game and improve it in the future, we will definitely add that! :)

This is really cute and simple. I like the minimalist design. Only thing I would add is the ability to go back to the main menu and exit the game instead of alt + f4. However, I think the font and art styles combined work really well. Even though you did not make the assets, good job on picking ones that compliment the game concept so well!
P.S the drawing on the left is definitely just a salt shaker.

Thank you very much :)
